Hi Steph The , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey started with a simple goal: helping people understand their finances and giving them access to services they could trust. Before building Community First Financial Solutions, I worked in healthcare and owned an in-home care business. When the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything, I had to reinvent myself and take a leap of faith.
I started Community First Financial Solutions from the ground up with a vision of creating more than just a tax office. I wanted to build a company that truly puts the community first by offering year-round financial support. What began as a small tax preparation business has grown into a full-service financial solutions company providing tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, business consulting, QuickBooks support, credit solutions, and financial education to clients across all 50 states.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving more than 1,500 clients and building an amazing team that shares the same passion for helping individuals, families, and small businesses succeed.
Education and growth have always been important to me. While running my business, I’m also continuing my own education and working toward my goal of becoming a tax forensic attorney. I believe that learning never stops, and I want to continue expanding my knowledge so I can better serve my clients.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, but every challenge has helped shape who we are today. One of the biggest transitions for Community First Financial Solutions was moving from a traditional brick-and-mortar business model to becoming a fully virtual office over the last two years. For our first five years, we operated from physical locations where clients could walk in, sit down, and meet with us face-to-face. Changing that model was a huge adjustment for both our team and our clients.
At first, there was a lot of uncertainty. We had to invest in new technology, create secure virtual systems, train our staff on new processes, and help our clients become comfortable with online appointments, document uploads, and digital signatures. There were moments when we wondered if people would embrace the change, but we stayed focused on our mission of making financial services more accessible and convenient.
Another major evolution was expanding beyond tax preparation. We realized our clients needed more than just someone to file their taxes once a year, they needed year-round support. That inspired us to grow into a full-service financial solutions company, offering bookkeeping, payroll, business consulting, QuickBooks support, credit solutions, and financial education all under one roof.

One of the things I am most proud of is that Community First Financial Solutions was built from the ground up through hard work, consistency, and a genuine passion for helping others. We’ve grown from a local brick-and-mortar business into a virtual firm that can serve clients nationwide without losing the personal touch that our clients have come to expect. We have also expanded our impact through community outreach and financial education initiatives because we believe knowledge is one of the greatest tools for building generational wealth.

Our main branch office is located in Miami-Dade Florida. What I love most about Miami is its diversity and entrepreneurial spirit. It truly is a city where people from all different backgrounds, cultures, and walks of life come together to build something better for themselves and their families. As a business owner, I’ve had the opportunity to work with clients from all over the world, and that diversity has made both my business and my personal life richer. Miami is also a city that embraces innovation and growth, which made it the perfect place to expand Community First Financial Solutions into a modern, virtual company serving clients nationwide.
Another thing I appreciate is the sense of community. There are so many small business owners, nonprofits, and local organizations working hard to support one another. I’ve been fortunate to connect with people who genuinely want to see others succeed, and that collaborative mindset is something special.
