Community Highlights: Meet Saxon Cwalinski of Smallwood’s Yachtwear

Today we’d like to introduce you to Saxon Cwalinski.

Hi Saxon, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My mom, Helen Smallwood, started Smallwood’s Yachtwear in 1981. I have been working within the company in different capacities for my entire life; however, my focus has always been on sales.

Last year, I took over the International Director of Sales position, leading our teams in Fort Lauderdale Florida, Antibes France, and Barcelona Spain.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The challenges that come along with operating a family business will always be there but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

We work with a clientele that except nothing less than the highest level of customer service and product quality and I can’t imagine doing this with anyone other than my family and our amazing team that have become like family.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
When it comes to Crew Uniforms in the Superyacht industry there is one name that is known around the world. Smallwood’s Yachtwear. Enduring style has long been a hallmark of yachting – and of Smallwood’s Yachtwear. Our philosophy is that uniforms should complement the beauty of yachts, while also enhancing the ease with which crew members provide service.

Poised and professional, confident and contemporary, Smallwood’s always stands for innovation, quality, and design… and always stands apart. With offices in Fort Lauderdale Florida, Antibes France, and Barcelona Spain, a Smallwood’s Representative is never far from any of the major yachting hubs around the world, ready to give you the top-notch level of service you’ve come to expect.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out.
Focus on a few things you do really well. Don’t try to do it all, be the best at a few things and you will be wildly successful. That and don’t take yourself too seriously.
