Hi Philippe, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I grew up in a small town in the Swiss Alps and came to the United States alone at 16 with no English, just a work ethic shaped by sport and a will to succeed. Athletics became my real education. It taught me discipline, resilience, and how to think long-term, and I’ve carried those principles into everything I do today.
When my wife and I founded Carousel Fine Art, I approached it the same way I’d manage an athlete’s career: set a clear vision, stay coachable, surround yourself with great people, and more importantly outwork everyone. What started as a small idea has grown into one of the fastest-growing contemporary art galleries in the country, with multiple locations and an incredible team.
It’s been a journey of constant growth, humility, and belief — and I feel like we’re just getting started.”
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve lived through difficult chapters both personally and in business. Entrepreneurship has a way of testing you in every direction at once. But I’ve learned that failing is one of the greatest teachers. Every setback forces you to reassess, adapt, and grow. How you respond to those moments ultimately defines the kind of person and the kind of business you become.
Looking back, the tough times were the turning points. They built my resilience, sharpened my instincts, and shaped the culture we have today at Carousel Fine Art.

Carousel Fine Art is a contemporary gallery group my wife and I built from the ground up. We specialize in bringing world-class, highly curated art into some of the fastest-growing luxury markets in the U.S. – Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, West Palm Beach, etc. Our focus is simple: exceptional art paired with exceptional hospitality.
What sets us apart is our approach. We don’t operate like a traditional gallery – we operate like a luxury experience brand. Every location is designed with intention: the scent, the music, the lighting, the energy, the way you’re welcomed. We curate each space the way a luxury hotel or fashion house would, and our collectors feel that difference immediately.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is growth, both personal and collective. I believe life is about constantly becoming a better version of yourself and helping the people around you rise as well. That mindset came from sports, where you learn that discipline, consistency, and the team you build determine everything.
In business, I care most about creating an environment where people feel inspired, supported, and capable of more than they imagined. When my team and artists grow, the company grows. When our collectors feel something, the art resonates. When my wife and I stretch ourselves, our vision expands.
Ultimately, growth matters to me because it’s the foundation of possibility. Everything I’ve built came from believing that who you are today doesn’t limit who you can become tomorrow.
