Today we’d like to introduce you to Noelia Peralta.
Hi Noelia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I graduated from my massage school, acupuncture and massage college, back in 2019. I knew from the moment I started schooling that I wanted to have my own business. I started building my clientele the moment I got my license. My first client was someone who I had gone to school with. At the time I created a DBA to start placing my name out there. I’ve worked in several settings from mobile work, post op, high end spa, chiropractors, etc. each place has helped me hone my skills and helped me become a better massage therapist. My first certification I acquired was becoming a CMLDT (Certified manual lymphatic drainage therapist) with Klose. This has truly opened the doors to work with certain populations, such as, lymphedema, cancer survivors, orthopedic surgeries, etc. I have always loved the area of healthcare and especially embryology. I had decided to pursue deeper knowledge and understanding of pregnancy and postpartum massage. I took an intensive course with Claire Marie Miller whom is known in the pregnancy massage community and teaches set ups on YouTube. Even though I had another course previous to this more profound course, the wealth of knowledge that Claire had shared has helped my business boom. During all this time of working, building clientele, and taking courses, the one course that has truly helped me be where I am today has been the pregnancy/postpartum and MLD certifications. After one client I had the pleasure of working with her while she was at the time 36 weeks pregnant, her word of mouth spread like wildfire. Her word of mouth catapulted my business to where I had made the decision to go fully solo in 2025. My dream is to expand and eventually have a team, but as of right now I am very happy with the rhythm and momentum my business is going in. I am excited to see all of my ideas come to life in real time.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. I had struggled with figuring out my goals in terms of specialization once I had my license. A grand majority of different massage modalities are very interesting to me. What has truly helped was time and working in several kinds of environments to truly hone in on the areas of specialty I’d like to focus on. Sometimes all you need is time.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Serenus Touch Massage and Wellness is currently a massage company that specializes in pregnancy, postpartum, TMJ, and MLD massages. The only post op clients we tend to see are those that have had orthopedic surgeries. We also provide swedish, deep tissue, and therapeutic sessions. We are most known for the four specializations listed above, particularly for pregnancy and postpartum. We are an all-inclusive practice and what I mean is that all of my current add-ons are free of charge. These include: hot stones, hot bamboo therapy, and neurocupping; so long as medical history allows for use of these tools and client preference. I am most proud of being either the only or very few places to accept first trimesters as clientele. My brand offers both mobile and in-office sessions. We are by appointment only. You can book your appointment through reaching out to me or by simply going to my website (www.serenustouch.com). I am a one woman show. I handle all of the phone calls, emails, texts, social media, and every single aspect to my business. I am a proud Dominican woman owned business and cannot wait to be able to expand my offerings in certain specializations I am eyeing. Stay tuned!
What does success mean to you?
I define success by having the grace of God to be able to continue being solo without having any other employment. I am proud of being able to spread healing and pain relief for all of my existing and for new clientele. Having the freedom to take the day off, having the time to be with family, and having full control of my schedule is what makes me feel most successful.
