Community Highlights: Meet Morgan Theodore of Morgan P. Theodore Law, PLLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Theodore.

Hi Morgan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I began my career working in my family law firm. My father has been an attorney for over 40 years in South Florida and was a brilliant trial attorney. When I graduated law school, he needed help with the commercial and intellectual property side of his business. He specialized in Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury, but had a friend with a stock shot photography company that needed legal assistance representing commercial photographers. So, he branched out into this area of the law as well. I had a background in the arts, so intellectual property resonated with me. I went to work with him and my older brother and learned copyright and trademark law. We mostly litigated but I taught myself how to do the transactional side of IP and grew our practice from there. I then went off on my own in 2020 and began specializing in IP and corporate transactional law. Which brings me to where I am today!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As a solo practitioner, there is no such thing as a smooth road. You eat what you kill. Every year, month and day brings new challenges. When my workflow is too intense, I wish I had more support. When it is slow, I wish I was an employee in a firm. Perseverance is key. My biggest struggle is knowing when I need support. No solo practitioner wants to hand the reins off, but it is important to invest in an infrastructure to build your practice around.

As you know, we’re big fans of Morgan P. Theodore Law, PLLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a Commercial Transactional Attorney with over 15 years of experience in business law, contract drafting, and intellectual property. My practice is built on a deep understanding of the commercial landscape and a proven ability to craft practical, results-driven legal solutions.

In addition to my transactional work, I bring extensive litigation experience in Federal Court, as I litigated for over 15 years on complex commercial disputes, intellectual property protection, and personal injury matters. This dual background allows me to anticipate legal risks, protect client interests, and guide businesses with both strategic foresight and precision.

I focus on hand holding and helping clients from a consultant perspective, My goal isn’t just to put out fires, but to foster growth and add value to my clients businesses.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
That is hard. I had a great childhood. Probably boating around Biscayne bay with my family, fishing in the mangroves and snorkeling in John Pennekamp park. My parents would always play Bob Marley or the Grateful Dead on their boat speakers and we had the best time every time we were out on the water.
