Community Highlights: Meet Melinda Cobian-Ramirez of La Terraza Organic Restaurant

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melinda Cobian-Ramirez.

Hi Melinda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Long story short. My husband had a Retail pharmacy in Miami Springs. I had a very difficult pregnancy with my second child(daughter). She was born with a immune system compromised. It became a real problem when she had her vaccine at 8 months. She couldn’t eat much that is how I started juicing everything for her. In the meantime we moved the pharmacy closer to our house so I could help in our business without being far from the house. Eventually they build Miami Children’s Urgent center in the same strip mall we were. Many kids with disabilities needed diets as the one I was doing for my daughter and parents needed guidance. Little did we know our little juicing corner at our pharmacy was going to become a full blown restaurant in which we help people with all kinds of medical situations, diets, misdiagnoses etc and we provide a listening ear for those who need to speak of their situations and guide them spiritually as best we can. I pledge to help everyone that asks to be help. I was lucky to be helped by many to get here as well as for my daughter’s well being

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Very bumpy road. But satisfying in mamy many ways

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about La Terraza Organic Restaurant?

What makes you happy?
My famiily!! My team players, friends and the many people we have been able to help along the years. We have created bonds that will last a lifetime. Hugging someone and sharing my peace with them. Giving them hope that everything will be ok. #nopasanads
