Today we’d like to introduce you to Latrice Johnson.
Hi Latrice, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am originally from Richmond, Virginia. I have been residing in Miami for 11 years. In addition to running with my dogs, I love to roller skate around my North Miami neighborhood. Real estate has always been a passion of mine. During quarantine, I decided to turn this passion into my full-time career.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Quarantine and social distancing have made it harder than normal to connect with others during this time. I also lost my beautiful, talented sister Bebe aka @kiyomihouse, last year to a random act of gun violence.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As a black female realtor, it is important to me that I share my knowledge and expertise with minorities, women, and other marginalized individuals who may not think they can qualify to own property. It is my opinion that homeownership should be an obtainable goal for all.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
To me, Miami is the most beautiful city in America. The beach is my all time favorite place. I love how there is always a new venue to discover in Miami. Hurricane threats are the worst! However, summer in Miami is my favorite season; I love all the rain. Miami has always held a special place in my heart.
