Hi Kimberly, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
What made me start my cleaning business?
Since I was a kid, I’ve always enjoyed keeping my bedroom clean and organized. It felt so satisfying to walk in my room and seeing it that way, that’s what made me enjoy cleaning! So fast forward to 2012, I’m listening to the radio and this woman asks the host “What should I do if I don’t want to work under someone else?” He then told her to turn something she loves doing into something that she can make money from. So that conversation alone resonated with me because I’ve always wanted to seek out other ways to make money other than working for other people, doing something I didn’t really enjoy doing. That’s when an idea popped up in my head, I was inspired to start my own cleaning company. I love cleaning and I wanted to be able to give my clients the satisfaction of walking into a clean home! That’s how Kimmy’s Cleaning Service came about!!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a bit of a bumpy road! I can say one struggle of being an independent business owner is trying to find employees. In the meantime, I’d go out clean places myself, or I’d have one or two other people with me for help!

I specialize in making homes look and smell wonderful! What sets me apart from the others is that I’m very detailed with my cleanings! My clients love my attention to detail. They notice that I love what I do, and it shows in my work! It just makes me proud that I can leave a home knowing that I did an amazing job and my clients are more than satisfied with my services!

I LOVE singing karaoke but I only do it in front of my family and some friends. Lol, no strangers!!
