Today we’d like to introduce you to Karem Zafra Vera.
Hi Karem, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story began at the edge of heartbreak right before my father’s passing. It was the most difficult and soul-shaking chapter of my life. I was navigating internal turbulence while trying to make sense of what was unfolding before me. My heart ached to understand my father’s journey, but my level of awareness at the time could only grasp fragments of the deeper truth. When he transitioned, something within me shifted forever.
I closed the door on an 18-year career as a Conflict Resolution Specialist. I closed a chapter of who I had been and made a soul-level decision: “from that moment forward, I would live in purpose, no matter what that meant.”
I didn’t have the full picture. I just knew I wanted more. I had studied the laws of attraction for years, but always from the surface. This time was different. I began having raw, demanding, intimate conversations with God. I told Him, “I’m done entertaining anything that doesn’t align with my purpose.” I became bold. Hungry. Devoted.
In those sacred four months of inner transformation, my brother sent me a video. I had seen it before and turned it away, perhaps because I wasn’t ready. But that day, I listened. And something inside me ignited like wildfire. I felt urgency in my soul. The man speaking was Bob Proctor.
I devoured everything I could. It was as if life was whispering: “Now is your time.” Within a week, I knew with absolute certainty “this is what I am meant to do.” I would be mentored by Bob and devote my life to helping others wake up to their own power. That was the beginning of my true calling.
I always say: “When the student is ready, the teacher appears.” Bob’s videos had crossed my path so many times before but that day, my soul finally said yes. It was watching his Paradigm Shift seminar that sealed it for me. I declared right then: “This is what I will do for the rest of my life.” I live it. I breathe it. I sleep in it. And best of all, I “get” to make a difference with it.
I came to a sacred realization: “Purpose isn’t something you find outside of yourself, it’s already living within you.” It’s the thing you do so naturally that you almost overlook it. You love doing it. It energizes you. And it often feels like a hobby or “just a skill.” But it’s your divine gift. When you begin to honor that, you begin to remember who you really are.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road, but it’s been the “perfect” one for me. Every twist, every crack, every storm along the way has been an invitation for growth… and a reminder that contrast is a sacred gift.
Contrast teaches us to see clearly.
It reveals what we DO want by showing us what we don’t. It sharpens our perspective and pulls us closer to the truth of who we are. And that perspective is everything.
My struggles have been real, deep, raw, and humbling. But they’ve also been the catalysts that helped me uncover my true essence. Every obstacle became a sacred mirror, reflecting the layers of limiting beliefs, inherited attitudes, and unconscious habits I didn’t even realize I had been living through.
Obstacles are divine interruptions.
They slow us down just enough to listen. They invite us to go inward to rediscover our voice, to question our patterns, and to return to what’s real.
Each one whispered:
Is this truly you?
Or is this just a habit?
A protection?
A limitation masked as identity?
Most people don’t pause to ask. But I believe “questions” are the doorway to the soul. And the quality of our questions determines the depth of our evolution.
To me, the purpose of this life is to one day reach the end of the road and know “you remembered who you truly are.” That you walked this Earth in your full essence. That you activated your internal powers and allowed them to guide your path.
I’ve had to do the work, deep work on my self-worth, my self-image, my beliefs, my voice. And I still do. Because there’s always another layer waiting to be revealed. That’s the beauty of the journey, it never really ends until our last breath.
And yet…
What a ride.
What a holy, powerful, unforgettable ride.
And I wouldn’t change a single thing.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Mindful with Karem isn’t just a business it’s a movement.
It’s a sacred space I created for individuals ready to break free from old patterns, reconnect with their truth, and rise into a life that feels aligned, abundant, and real. I specialize in transformational mindset and spiritual coaching. My work is intuitive, deep, and profoundly activating. I’m known for helping clients uncover the root of what’s been holding them back those hidden paradigms, inherited beliefs, and subconscious patterns that quietly shape our choices. Together, we gently dismantle what no longer serves… and create space for what’s meant to be.
I don’t just coach I hold space. Space where you feel safe enough to unravel. Bold enough to be seen. And free enough to dream again.
I listen beyond the words. I read between the lines. I tune in to what’s not being said and I mirror back the version of you that’s always been there, waiting to be remembered.
What sets me apart is the depth. I’m not here for surface shifts or temporary motivation. I’m here to walk beside you as you remember who you are and claim the life that’s always been yours. My clients often describe the experience as both a spiritual awakening and a soulful recalibration. It’s not about fixing it’s about freeing.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the truth that lives at the core of it all. There’s no performance here. “Mindful with Karem” is an extension of my soul. Every offering whether it’s my signature programs, corporate workshops, sacred morning calls, or one-on-one containers is designed with purpose and anchored in expansion.
So, if you’re looking for more than just coaching…
If you crave a space that blends strategy with spirit, vision with vulnerability, and growth with grace.
You’re in the right place.
This is not about becoming someone new.
It’s about coming home to who you’ve always been.
This is a reclamation.
And I’m here to help you rise.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I believe every decision carries a level of risk but only when filtered through fear. Shift the lens to “perspective” and “purpose,” and suddenly, risk looks a lot more like opportunity.
For me? I say, “Bring it on.”
That’s how I live now. I thrive in challenge. I grow sharper, more devoted, more alive every time life stretches me. But it wasn’t always like this. There was a time when my inner voice was filled with hesitation. I used to sit in the “what ifs,” replaying worst-case scenarios, waiting for certainty before I moved. That energy felt heavy, paralyzing… and small.
Everything changed when I rewired my perspective. Now I walk with an unshakable knowing: “Everything is always working out for me.”
The detours. The delays. Even the decisions that once scared me, I trust them. I trust the unfolding. I trust the divine timeline. I’ve learned that risk isn’t the opposite of safety… it’s the bridge to expansion. Because at the end of the day, this life isn’t about the destination.
It’s about “who you become” along the way.
Your growth. Your boldness. Your resilience. Your willingness to choose faith over fear, again and again. And yes, sometimes that requires leaps… breathtaking ones.
My first big leap? Closing a business I built over 18 years. Walking away from what I knew to step into a calling I never saw coming.
The doubt was real. But not once did I doubt my purpose. I had to redefine what freedom, success, and fulfillment looked like on my own terms.
Another leap? Joining the Napoleon Hill Institute. Doing whatever it took to be in the room, in the frequency, in the proximity of that level of growth. That decision changed everything. It wasn’t just an investment in my business it was an initiation into a new version of me.
I’ve come to realize most people associate risk with failure or loss. But what if we redefined it?
What if “risk” became a sacred shift an energetic leap toward alignment?
What if it was a sign you were finally following your truth, not your programming?
To me, risk is no longer a threat.
It’s an “invitation.”
An invitation to rise.
To trust.
To evolve.
