Today we’d like to introduce you to Geraldine Edrei
Hi Geraldine , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In the past 20 years, I’ve moved a total of 14 times. Each relocation taught me valuable lessons about life, resilience, and the art of simplicity. With every move, I learned to let go of what no longer served me, both physically and emotionally. It became clear to me that decluttering was not just about cleaning out my closets; it was about creating space for new opportunities and experiences.
Moving often felt overwhelming and stressful, but I realized that it was also a chance to start anew. I began to see each move as an opportunity to reclaim my life and focus on what truly mattered—my well-being and peace of mind. These experiences ignited my passion for wellness and order, and I became increasingly aware of how our surroundings can profoundly impact our mental health.
Through my moves, I discovered the importance of living organized. Each time I unpacked in a new space, I envisioned it as a clean slate, ready to be transformed into a sanctuary of tranquility. This inspired me to help others who might feel lost in their clutter and chaos. I wanted to offer my expertise and understanding to those in need of support during their own transitions.
That’s why I founded 2boxbyGeraldine. I don’t just offer moving and organizing services; I provide a pathway to peace, clarity, and simplicity. I understand the time and emotional investment required during a move, and I am here to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When you begin a business or an adventure, there are always obstacles to overcome. But I’m the kind of person who like to prepare ahead of time and make sure that I have procedures in place to ensure that the difficulties don’t cause hurt or unpleasant feelings or damage. However, I view challenges as opportunities for personal development and skill enhancement. Also, obstacles can also help you build confidence, perseverance, and resilience, which can help you in other areas of your life.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I offer a special combination of accuracy and knowledge of public health to the moving and organizing industry. Having worked as a dentist in the past and earning a Master’s degree in Public Health with a focus on behavioral health, I am aware of the significant influence that a well-organized environment has on both mental and physical health.
I offer outstanding moving and organizing services that put our clients’ health and peace of mind first, providing thoughtful, individualized solutions that transform every place into a well-organized, happy experience.
My goal is to completely turn the moving and organizing process into a smooth, stress-free journey that makes clients feel organized, powerful, and at home as soon as they enter their new location. I have an effect on families by arranging moves and offering our clients with order, peace, and overall wellness.
At 2Box, we understand that a clutter-free environment is essential for peace of mind and productivity.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
It’s important to remember that everyone’s experience of the pandemic was different, but I learned:
Resilience and adaptability: I adapted to unexpected changes and challenges, develop new skills, and find creative solutions to problems. I learned the importance of social connections and how much we rely on each other for support and well-being. I appreciated my own health and the health of others, and learned the importance of taking care of yourself both physically and mentally. I loved how communities came together in new ways, fostering a sense of solidarity and shared purpose. Moreover, Covid crisis, showed me the importance of preparation and how to be ready for unexpected events and adapt to remote work.
Lastly, it showed me the fragility of the global system and the impact of a crisis in one part of the world could have affected others.
