Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Rubenstein.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Eric Matthew Rubenstein, and I’m a proud native of Lauderhill, Florida. My academic journey began at Piper High School and led me to Florida State University, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree. I pursued further education at Boston University, obtaining my Master’s, and then went on to complete my Law degree at St. Thomas University. In law school, I graduated magna cum laude and ranked 7th out of a class of over 200 students. Beyond academics, I took on leadership roles as the Student Bar Association President and captained the University’s intramural basketball championship team.
After law school, I joined Rubenstein Law, my family’s successful and well-established personal injury firm, where I honed my skills as a litigation attorney. The experience there was invaluable and deepened my understanding of the field while reinforcing the importance of client care.
Recently, I launched The Law Office of Eric Matthew Rubenstein, drawing on the same values of relentless advocacy, professionalism, and compassionate client care that my family’s firm is known for. At my firm, we strive to uphold these principles to provide exceptional legal services. Whether you’ve been injured due to someone else’s negligence or need assistance for any legal matter, I’m here to offer unwavering support and a free consultation, with no costs unless we win your case.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No road worth traveling is entirely smooth, and my journey has had its share of challenges. One of the initial challenges was balancing rigorous academics with leadership responsibilities and extracurricular activities during law school. As the Student Bar Association President, I had to juggle my studies, student advocacy, and leading a team to victory in the intramural basketball championship.
After law school, working at my family’s firm, Rubenstein Law, presented another layer of challenges. While it was an enriching experience, I had to prove myself as a capable and dedicated attorney, not just within my family but also to clients and colleagues. Earning their trust and recognition through hard work and commitment was vital.
Launching my own firm required a leap of faith and a willingness to face the unknown. Building a new practice meant developing my client base from scratch while ensuring that we maintained the high standards my family’s firm set. This included finding the right team and refining our processes to deliver personalized yet effective legal services. I encountered the typical challenges of entrepreneurship, like securing new clients, creating efficient workflows, and maintaining financial stability.
Despite these hurdles, each challenge has strengthened my resolve and deepened my commitment to offering exceptional legal representation. The experience has taught me the importance of adaptability, perseverance, and unwavering dedication to my clients, and I’m proud of the road I’ve traveled so far.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
For those just starting out, my biggest piece of advice is to embrace the journey and be ready for continuous learning. The legal field is challenging and ever-evolving, and adaptability is crucial. Don’t be discouraged by setbacks—they’re a natural part of growth. Instead, treat each challenge as a learning opportunity that helps shape your skills and character.
When I first started, I wish I had known the value of networking early on. Building genuine relationships with peers, mentors, and professionals in various fields can provide valuable insights, referrals, and support throughout your career. A strong network helps you navigate the intricacies of the industry and gives you access to diverse perspectives.
Additionally, always prioritize empathy and effective communication. Whether you’re interacting with clients, colleagues, or opposing counsel, understanding their perspectives can help you build trust and find solutions. Clients, in particular, should feel understood and supported through every step of their legal journey.
Lastly, stay passionate about your work. The commitment to justice and advocacy should remain at the core of what you do. Find an area of law that resonates with you, and let your enthusiasm drive your dedication. Ultimately, this will keep you motivated and lead to more fulfilling and impactful work.
