Community Highlights: Meet Elizabeth Suit of Headquarters

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Suit.

Hi Elizabeth, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in South Florida, left for college in Virginia where I earned three bachelor’s degrees. Grew up a professional athlete in Horseback riding, which in turn paid my way through college through sports scholarships. After graduating college, I returned to WPB, FL. It was shortly after that I pursued a career in the fire service. I started EMT school, directly followed by fire academy and then nursing school earning my AS degree in nursing. I finished my EMS and medicine education with obtaining my paramedic license. During these years, I needed to work to pay for it all, so I found myself naturally in the fitness industry. I worked for a large publicly traded fitness company as director of business development, getting my feet wet in the corporate world and public sector alike. It was during this time that I met the CEOs of F45 training and was recruited to make a change and work for them as their North American performance director. At this point, I was still in school full time and now working a corporate job full time. I decided to invest in myself and my family by obtaining equity in the F45 brands, which I still have today (two F45 franchises). One located in WPB and the other in Wellington. Nearly five years after pursuing the fire service, I got the phone call from Palm beach county fire rescue that I was hired. A dream come true. I took the job and said goodbye to the corporate world. I focused on my fire career and simultaneously enlisted in the Army National Guard as a reservist. Over the last two years, I have recognized the need for a “home” within the first responder and military community…thus Headquarters was born. Today, I am a firefighter, paramedic, RN, army reservist, gym owner, and now restaurant owner.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not! Working full-time and being a student full-time was no easy task. Sleepless days to fit it all in. There never seems to be enough time to fit it all in. Finding balance amongst it all has always been the greatest challenge, but it seems the further down this path I get the easier it becomes. I just follow green lights at this point.

We’ve been impressed with Headquarters, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Headquarters is currently being constructed and hoping to open spring of 2022. It is a restaurant for first responders and military. Although it’s dedicated to them, ALL are welcome and encouraged to experience the “brotherhood” we as first responders know and love. This will be a place for those communities to call home. A safe place where they can find a brother or sister there at any time. We will use Headquarters to show the public just how amazing these people are through heritage, honor and tradition. There is no place like this, and I am so proud to be able to shine some positive light on these amazing people that fight for our communities and country! We will offer breakfast all day, always have fresh coffee, live music, local brews, events, and lots of stories! We will also be collecting coins, patches, and memorabilia to put on the walls in honor of those who have fallen along with the story to go with each item. Most importantly, we will be donating a % of proceeds towards a local nonprofit pertaining to mental health within the military and first responder communities.

What are your plans for the future?
OPENING! We cannot wait to get open and running. I personally can’t wait to host holiday parties and retirement parties for my brothers and sisters.
