My journey began back in 2003 while I was a student at the University of South Florida. I started preparing taxes on the side — just helping family and friends — and discovered I had a real talent for making finances make sense. For years, it was something I did out of passion and service, not realizing it was planting the seeds for my future.
In 2016, I took a leap of faith and decided to turn that passion into a purpose-driven business. That’s when One Cent Financial Services was officially born. I call it “sowing a mustard seed,” because it started small — with faith, hard work, and a vision — but has grown into something impactful. Today, One Cent Financial Services stands as a trusted resource for individuals and businesses seeking not only tax preparation but financial clarity, empowerment, and peace of mind.
It’s been a journey of persistence and passion, and every step has reminded me that sometimes, taking that leap is the first step toward something bigger than you ever imagined.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely, it’s been a struggle — but every challenge has been worth it. I’ve learned firsthand that only the strong survive, and persistence truly pays off. There were moments of uncertainty, long nights, and tough decisions, but through it all, my faith and vision kept me going. Today, I’m grateful to be a pillar in my community and a trusted resource for those seeking financial guidance. Every hurdle along the way has only strengthened my commitment to helping others succeed.
