Today we’d like to introduce you to Diego Gomez De Cordova.
Diego , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m fortunate to have been born and raised in Miami, and entrepreneurship has been part of my DNA from the beginning. Today, my focus is fully in the music industry, where I own and operate a fast-growing music and entertainment collective that works across record labels, artists, venues, and creative strategy.
Before music, I founded a group health management company, built it from the ground up, and sold it to a Fortune 500 firm weeks before COVID. Prior to that, I worked in aerospace, managing and selling assets across global markets.
Across every chapter of my career, I have been driven by hard work, strategic thinking, and the ability to connect the dots between people, opportunities, and ideas. Now, I’m fully immersed in the world I’m most passionate about; helping shape the future of music and entertainment.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely been far from smooth, however, I will say that I am thankful for all of the obstacles that I have encountered, with out tough times and obstacles that need to be overcome, it is very difficult to see true success. Every obstacle makes you stronger and better and serves a purpose in your life and career.
As you know, we’re big fans of Algorhyhtms & Algorhyhtms Music Group. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am the Co-Founder and CEO of Algorhythms Music Group and Algorhythms Entertainment; an integrated music collective focused on record labels, artists, creative venues, investments, IP and more.
Through Algorhythms Entertainment, we manage a boutique and diverse roster of Electronic and Latin artists, operate a dynamic creative space in Wynwood, and invest and partner strategically in entertainment related companies.
Our newest and largest venture, Algorhythms Music Group, marks a major milestone with our distribution partnership with Sony’s The Orchard. Through this division, we develop and support record labels, build and scale music brands, and guide them into the recording and IP business, revolutionizing how electronic labels operate in today’s market.
A core part of our mission is to elevate and expand the culture of electronic music group labels in Florida, creating a stronger ecosystem for artists, creators, and innovators.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Finding a mentor is extremely important, however, I feel like a mentor is not necessarily “found”, it’s a bond that develops over time. A mentor can teach you everything they know and help create a lifetime of knowledge in your craft.
