Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Vasquez
Hi DANIELA, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
After earning my degree in Business Administration, I spent nearly a decade working in the finance department of an international Oil and Gas company. But when the pandemic hit, it turned my world upside down, and I found myself at a crossroads. Instead of letting the setback define me, I chose to take a leap of faith and pursue my true passion—becoming an entrepreneur.
In 2020, I co-founded an interior design firm in Quito, Ecuador, and over the next three years, we successfully completed more than 50 projects, transforming spaces and creating memorable designs. But as my business grew, so did my desire for new challenges. In 2023, I made the bold decision to relocate to Florida with my family, eager to start a fresh chapter in Miami.
Now, I balance my corporate career during the week with my work as an interior decorator on the weekends. Since moving to Miami, I’ve had the privilege of designing a stunning office in Brickell and a guest studio in North Miami. One of my proudest moments was decorating my very first Christmas tree—small, but a meaningful step in a much bigger journey.
Every day, I thank God and my family for their unwavering support, which has been crucial in helping me chase my dream. I know the hard work will pay off, and I’m excited for all the incredible projects and opportunities yet to come. This is just the beginning, and I’m ready for whatever comes next!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This journey has certainly not been without its challenges. They say that all good things come with their fair share of struggles, and I’ve come to understand that firsthand. Entrepreneurship isn’t as glamorous as it might appear—especially in the beginning. The reality often feels like a constant financial rollercoaster. There are moments when projects take longer than expected, deadlines slip, and you’re relying on others to meet their commitments. Managing relationships with service providers, keeping customers reassured, and ensuring everything stays on track can feel like a juggling act, especially when unexpected obstacles arise.
As an entrepreneur, you wear a lot of hats—you’re not just the boss. You’re also the employee, the marketing expert, the accountant, and so much more. It’s a lot of work, and the pressure can be overwhelming at times. But when the project is finally completed, and you see the end result of all the effort, it makes the journey worthwhile. Despite the hurdles, there’s nothing more rewarding than knowing that your hard work, resilience, and determination have paid off. In the end, it’s all part of the process—and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

They played a key role in my first two projects in Miami, and I’m hopeful that our collaboration will continue to grow.
