Hi Christlove, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello, my name is Christlove Leveille aka Chrissy. I am a wife, stay-at-home-school mom and small business owner. Before the pandemic changed my world, I was a teacher at a small Christian private school teaching 4th graders. Now I am home with my daughter running my small business, Sew & Press. At Sew & Press I sew Lotus (placenta) bags, bows, and bonnets. I also create custom illustrations and sell prints that highlights the beauty of Motherhood and Birth. You can also find T-shirts, onesies and stickers in my shop.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
One of my biggest struggles is time management. Being a wife, mother, homeschool teacher and business owner is tough. Trying to balance the time to serve my family and my business brings new challenges that I am still trying to figure out.
We’ve been impressed with Sew & Press, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Sew & Press, LLC is a small business ran solely by me. I started my business in the middle of a pandemic when times were so unpredictable and my flow of income stopped when my job furloughed me. I learned how to sew from my Mother-in-law and started to sew masks for my family and friends. In addition to creating masks I added bonnets, bows and later the beautiful Lotus bags. I sew my products with rare, high-quality fabric prints. I also create custom illustrations and design beautiful Artwork. I do this because I want my business to stand out from other businesses by using high-quality material.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
First and foremost, I give praise and honor to God for His perfect provision. I also want to thank my husband, friends, and family for supporting and pushing me. Lastly, the amazing social media friends I’ve gained.
