Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Weill.
Hi Christina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, I’m Christina—though most people call me Kiki! I was born and raised in Miami in a
Venezuelan and Cuban household. Growing up, I’ve always gravitated to working with children. Teaching them, playing with them, and creating meaningful experiences has felt natural to me for as long as I can remember. It wasn’t until I shadowed a family friend who was a speech therapist that I realized I had
found the perfect fit for me. I fell in love with the work that day and knew I had found my path.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Florida State
University and my Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders from
the University of Central Florida. For the past six years, I’ve been working with children here in
Miami, specializing in early language development and early intervention.
My approach is play-based and child-led, integrating therapeutic goals into a child’s natural play
and interests. I believe that when children are engaged and motivated by what they’re doing, they
have the best opportunity to learn and grow.
What I love most about this work is seeing children develop their communication—whether it’s
learning a new word, expressing themselves more clearly, or gaining confidence in their voice.
Every milestone, no matter how small, is a reminder of why I chose this career and why I’m so
passionate about supporting children and their families along the way.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Overall, my journey in speech therapy has been a smooth one, and I’ve made some of my best friends along the way. However, I’ve definitely faced challenges too. One of the hardest challenges I faced was making the decision to leave a job I truly loved—working with children and families I had built strong relationships with over several years—in order to create something of my own. I struggled with this decision for a long time because the school setting meant so much to me—collaborating with teachers and parents, celebrating milestones, and being present for their special moments like holiday shows and graduations. Being a part of these experiences meant a lot to me. Ultimately, though, I realized I could make an even greater impact by going out on my own and designing sessions tailored to each individual child. That way, I could support them in the way I felt would truly make the biggest difference.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Kids Corner Therapy Miami?

What sets us apart is my child-led and evidence based approach to therapy. I’m most proud of how deeply invested I am in each of my clients. I truly care about every child and their progress.
What I want readers to know:
I want my readers to know that children are capable of incredible growth when they have the right support and people who truly believe in them. At Kids Corner Therapy Miami, services are provided in a child’s natural environment to help promote the generalization of skills into everyday life. We also work closely in collaboration with parents, teachers, and other professionals because we believe the best outcomes happen when a child’s entire team is involved.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was very active and loved staying busy—whether it was climbing, making up games, playing with dolls, playing restaurant, or doing gymnastics. I enjoyed school and always looked forward to spending time with my friends. While I was a little shy at first, I quickly opened up once I got to know people. I was also my sister’s shadow and loved doing everything with her—which is still true to this day. Some of my favorite memories are family trips, especially going skiing together.
