Today we’d like to introduce you to Brendan Rose.
Hi Brendan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Brendan Rose’s path to founding Ocean Point Construction & Development was shaped long before he entered the construction industry. Born and raised in New York, Brendan developed a strong work ethic and drive from an early age—values that would later guide his career and leadership style.
Before transitioning into construction, Brendan served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps, where he led operational teams across multiple continents in high-pressure environments where discipline, leadership, and strategic thinking were essential. Those experiences instilled in him the principles that still define how he leads today—integrity, accountability, and the belief that strong teams can accomplish extraordinary things.
After completing his military service, Brendan brought that mission-driven mindset into the construction industry. Over the past decade, he has worked across a wide range of complex developments, including high-rise condominium towers, multifamily communities, custom luxury residences, and commercial projects. Through these experiences, he developed a deep respect for architectural design, craftsmanship, and the long-term structural integrity that defines truly exceptional buildings.
Today, as Founder and CEO of Ocean Point Construction & Development, Brendan leads the company’s vision and growth while maintaining a hands-on approach to every project. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and speaks fluent Spanish, with additional proficiency in Hebrew.
For Brendan, construction is about more than building structures. It’s about turning vision into reality and creating spaces that stand the test of time. His mission with Ocean Point is simple: to build with purpose, lead with integrity, and leave behind a legacy that lasts for generations.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like most entrepreneurial journeys, it has not been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges was transitioning from working for established companies to building and leading my own construction firm. When you work for someone else, many of the responsibilities—such as securing projects, managing finances, and building client relationships—are handled at a different level. As a business owner, those responsibilities fall directly on you, and you quickly learn how much dedication, risk, and persistence it takes to grow a company.
Another challenge has been entering a highly competitive construction industry. As a newer company, it takes time to break through, gain trust, and compete with long-established firms that already have extensive relationships and portfolios. Building credibility requires consistently delivering quality work, maintaining strong partnerships, and proving reliability on every project.
My background as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps helped prepare me for these challenges. The Marine Corps taught me discipline, strategic thinking, and resilience under pressure. Those lessons have been invaluable as I’ve worked to grow Ocean Point Construction & Development and build a reputation based on integrity, accountability, and quality.
While the journey has had its challenges, each obstacle has strengthened both my leadership and the foundation of the company.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Ocean Point Construction and Development?
Ocean Point Construction & Development is a veteran-owned construction firm focused on delivering boutique, high-end residential and multifamily developments, as well as select commercial projects. Our focus is not on building the most projects—but on building the right projects. We specialize in boutique luxury residences and multifamily communities where quality, design, and long-term value matter more than volume.
What sets Ocean Point apart is our disciplined approach to execution and our commitment to precision at every stage of the process. My background as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps shaped how I lead and how our company operates. The Marine Corps teaches you that success comes from preparation, accountability, and strong teamwork, and those principles translate directly into how we approach construction.
In an industry that can sometimes prioritize speed over craftsmanship, we focus on thoughtful development, attention to detail, and close collaboration with clients, architects, and partners. Our goal is to create projects that not only meet expectations but exceed them—spaces that are designed with intention and built to last.
We are especially passionate about boutique luxury and multifamily projects because they allow us to combine strong structural execution with architectural vision. These developments require a higher level of coordination, craftsmanship, and care, which is exactly where our team thrives.
At Ocean Point Construction & Development, we believe every project tells a story. Our role is to take a client’s vision and turn it into something tangible—something that will stand for decades and represent the highest standard of construction and design.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I’m always looking for resources that help me grow both as a leader and as a person. A few books that have had a strong influence on my mindset are Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and Choose Your Enemies Wisely by Patrick Bet-David. Both focus on the importance of discipline, strategy, and surrounding yourself with the right people when building something meaningful.
But honestly, my biggest influences didn’t come only from books—they came from my family. My passion for construction started with my grandfather, who was one of the most influential architects involved in building some of New York’s skyscrapers. Hearing those stories growing up left a lasting impression on me. It gave me a deep respect for the craft of building and the idea that what you create can stand for generations.
My motivation for entrepreneurship came from my father. He was a great entrepreneur who built a successful business and offices over the years. Watching him build his business, take risks, and create opportunities showed me what it means to think bigger and take ownership of your path.
Between those early family influences and the lessons from leadership and business books, I’ve always believed in continuous growth. Whether through reading, learning from other entrepreneurs, or real-world experience, I’m constantly looking for ways to improve as a leader and bring that mindset into Ocean Point Construction & Development.
