Today we’d like to introduce you to Brenda Caurant And Annabelle Bare.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We are two French creators who followed very different paths before finding ourselves on a shared journey of healing, and entrepreneurship.
Although our backgrounds were very different, we were both driven by a desire to better understand ourselves and the deeper forces that shape our lives.
Early in her life, Annabelle was drawn to personal development and the study of energy, exploring the relationship between color, light, frequency, and well-being. Over the years, that curiosity evolved into a healing practice dedicated to helping others reconnect with themselves.
Brenda’s path began through her own health challenges. After living with an autoimmune disease for 15 years, she embarked on a profound self-healing journey that led her into the world of breathwork, emotions, and energy. Through that experience, she not only fully recovered her health but also discovered her true calling.
When we met, we immediately recognized a shared passion for healing, transformation, and beauty. We believe that what we wear carries a force, and that words and symbols can remind us of who we are and how we want to feel. CocoMilkyWay was born from that vision: creating empowering fashion that inspires confidence, connection, and inner transformation.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of our biggest challenges has been building CocoMilkyWay entirely from the ground up without significant outside funding.
Like many small business owners, we wear every hat ourselves. We work from home and manage everything there—from inventory and packaging to design and order fulfillment—while carefully reinvesting every dollar back into the business. Our dream is to eventually have a dedicated studio space, but for now, we have learned to be resourceful.
Another challenge has been learning skills we never expected to need. When you start a fashion brand you quickly realize that you’re not just the founder—you are also the photographer, creative director, social media manager, website designer, customer service representative, and even the model!
Neither of us imagined we would one day be organizing photoshoots, photographing each other, creating marketing campaigns, editing content, or learning the constantly changing world of social media and digital marketing. It has pushed us far outside our comfort zones and required us to develop entirely new skill sets!
We are eager to build a team and collaborate with talented people who can contribute their skills and expertise.
At the same time, these challenges have taught us resilience and creativity. Looking back, we’re proud of how much we’ve learned and how much we’ve been able to create with limited resources! Every step forward feels meaningful because we’ve built it together, one step at a time.

We create intentionally designed clothing to inspire joy, and inner connection. Every piece is created with the intention of reminding people of their own light, beauty, and magic.
As energy healers, we spend our days helping people reconnect with themselves through breath, color, sound, and energy. Over the years, we kept coming back to a simple question: how could the uplifting energy people experience during a healing session become part of everyday life?
That question became CocoMilkyWay.
We wanted to create something that people could wear and live with. Something that would carry the feelings of joy, expansion, self-expression, and reconnection that often emerge during a healing session. For us, clothing became a natural extension of that mission.
Our designs are infused with powerful energies. We are drawn to feminine hues, stars, sparkle, and everything that feels luminous and magical. Sacred words, symbols, and archetypes are woven throughout our collections, bringing meaning and intention to each piece.
At its heart, CocoMilkyWay is an invitation to bring a little more Light into everyday life. Our hope is that every piece reminds people of their own Beauty and Magic and encourages them to express who they are unapologetically.
What were you like growing up?
Although we grew up in very different environments, we were both imaginative and highly sensitive children.
Annabelle grew up in the French countryside, with a forest behind her house that felt like her first temple. Her days were spent barefoot in fields, exploring streams, eating fruit straight from the trees, and gazing at the stars. Some of her favorite memories are nights spent tracing constellations with her cousins and feeling connected to something greater than herself.
Brenda grew up in a rough suburb where imagination became her refuge. Her bedroom walls were covered with stars and galaxies, reminders that there was more beyond the concrete landscape around her. Summers in French Brittany, surrounded by Celtic legends, haunted houses, misty swamps, secret paths, nurtured her sense of wonder and creativity.
Looking back, many of the things that inspire CocoMilkyWay today were already present in our childhoods: a love of beauty, a fascination with the unseen, and a belief that Magic can be found everywhere.
