Today we’d like to introduce you to Breeyah Dozier.
Hi Breeyah, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into the beauty industry started over 10 years ago after a breakup. At the time, I needed something positive to focus on, so I began experimenting with makeup. What started as a creative outlet quickly turned into a business when people began booking me and paying for my services. That experience showed me that a skill could become a passion, and eventually a career.
While makeup introduced me to the beauty industry, skincare became my true purpose. I struggled with acne for most of my life and spent years searching for solutions through products and dermatologist visits. I often felt frustrated and lacked confidence in my skin. Eventually, I realized that if I wanted to understand my skin, I needed to educate myself. I knew I wasn’t the only person experiencing those challenges, and I wanted to help others feel more confident in theirs.
That desire led me to esthetics school. I became fascinated with corrective skincare and the ability to transform not only someone’s skin, but also their self-esteem.
The turning point in my journey came during a 48-hour trip to Miami. At the time, I was working in healthcare, but I knew deep down that I was meant for something different. I still wanted to help people, but I wanted to do it in a way that aligned with my passion for beauty, confidence, and self-care.
After returning home, I enrolled in esthetics school, earned my license, and shortly afterward made the decision to move from New York to South Florida. I believed the aesthetics industry offered tremendous opportunity for growth, and I was willing to take the risk to build the life and business I envisioned.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has played a role in shaping who I am today.
One of my biggest challenges was leaving a stable career in healthcare to pursue beauty full-time. I knew I wanted more for my life, but stepping away from security and into uncertainty was scary. For a period of time, I worked overnight shifts in healthcare and spent my days building my career in aesthetics. It was exhausting, but I was determined to create a future that aligned with my passion.
Another major challenge was moving from New York to South Florida. I left behind everything familiar and started over in a completely new environment. There were moments of financial uncertainty, self-doubt, and figuring things out as I went, but I believed in the vision I had for my life and business.
One of the most defining moments came when I unexpectedly lost the location where I was seeing clients. I had appointments booked, bills to pay, and no backup plan. In that moment, I had a choice: return to what felt safe or fully bet on myself. I chose to bet on myself.
As you know, we’re big fans of Sculpted Aesthetic . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Sculpted Aesthetic is a results-driven skincare and waxing practice specializing in corrective skincare, full-body waxing, and intimate brightening treatment plans designed to help clients feel confident in their skin.
What sets us apart is the experience. From the moment a client discovers our brand to the moment they leave the treatment room, every detail is intentional. I have always held myself to a high standard when it comes to customer service, education, professionalism, and creating a safe space where clients feel comfortable, heard, and cared for.
As someone who personally struggled with acne for many years, I understand how deeply skin concerns can affect confidence. That experience shaped the way I approach client care and continues to drive my passion for helping others achieve their goals.
What I am most proud of is the supportive community I have built in a city where I started with virtually no connections. Over the years, I have been fortunate to build genuine relationships with my clients and earn their trust. One of the most meaningful compliments I receive is when someone tells me they felt they could trust me before they ever booked an appointment. To me, that trust means everything.
The growth of Sculpted Aesthetic has been built through relationships, referrals, consistency, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional experience. Beyond the treatment room, I am passionate about empowering other beauty professionals through education, mentorship, and training opportunities that help them grow their skills and maximize their income.
As I continue to grow my business and become more involved in the community, my mission remains the same: to create a lasting impact through confidence, connection, education, and service. While skincare and waxing are what we do, the purpose behind Sculpted Aesthetic has always been much bigger than beauty alone.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
One exciting thing readers should know is that I’ve recently expanded beyond Sculpted Aesthetic and launched Aesthetic Society Studios, a luxury salon suite concept in Downtown Hollywood, Florida.
My vision has always been bigger than providing services. I am passionate about creating opportunities for beauty and wellness professionals to elevate their brands, grow their businesses, and serve their communities in a professional and supportive environment.
As an entrepreneur, esthetician, and educator, my mission is to create impact not only through the clients I serve, but through the professionals I help along the way. I believe we’re just getting started, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
