Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Quito.
Hi Anthony, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started in the automotive industry because I’ve always been passionate about cars and hands-on work. Over time, that passion turned into a business. I built Fender Bender Autobody in Southwest Florida with the goal of creating a shop that focuses on quality repairs, honest customer service, and attention to detail.
Like many small business owners, the beginning came with a lot of long hours, learning experiences, and challenges. I’ve worn every hat in the business — from repairing and painting vehicles to managing customers, marketing, insurance claims, and day-to-day operations. Through consistency and hard work, the business has continued to grow and build a strong reputation in the community.
Today, I continue focusing on improving the shop, expanding our capabilities, and creating a professional experience for customers from start to finish. I take pride in building something from the ground up and constantly pushing it to the next level.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. Building a business from the ground up comes with a lot of pressure and uncertainty, especially in the beginning. One of the biggest challenges was balancing the technical side of the work while also learning how to run and grow a business at the same time.
There were periods of long hours, financial pressure, staffing challenges, and learning how to manage customer expectations, insurance processes, and shop operations all at once. Like many businesses in the automotive industry, there were also challenges with parts delays, changing technology, and staying competitive in a growing market.
Another challenge was building trust and getting the business name recognized locally. In the beginning, every customer mattered, and a lot of growth came through word of mouth and consistently delivering quality work. Over time, those challenges helped me become more disciplined, adaptable, and focused on building a stronger operation.
Looking back, the obstacles taught me a lot about persistence, customer service, and the importance of continuously improving both personally and professionally.
As you know, we’re big fans of Fender Bender Autobody. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Fender Bender Autobody is a collision repair and refinishing shop based in Southwest Florida, serving customers throughout Cape Coral and the surrounding areas. We specialize in collision repair, paintwork, dent and scratch repair, insurance claim assistance, and restoring vehicles back to pre-accident condition with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
What sets us apart is the level of care we put into both the repairs and the customer experience. We understand that being involved in an accident can be stressful, so we work hard to make the process as smooth as possible by communicating clearly, helping customers navigate insurance claims, and treating every vehicle like it’s our own.
As a growing independent shop, we take pride in building our reputation through honest work, consistency, and strong relationships within the local community. A lot of our growth has come from word of mouth, repeat customers, and the trust we’ve built through quality repairs and customer service.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how recognizable the Fender Bender name has become locally. We’ve focused heavily on creating a professional image, modernizing the shop, improving our systems, and continuously raising the standard of our work. We are always looking for ways to grow, improve, and bring dealership-level quality with a more personal experience.
At the end of the day, we want customers to know they have a shop they can trust — one that genuinely cares about quality, transparency, and delivering the best possible result.
What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is my family, especially my wife and son. They are my biggest motivation and the reason I push myself every day to continue growing both personally and professionally. Building a business takes a lot of time, sacrifice, and responsibility, and having their support gives me purpose and keeps me grounded.
My family motivates me to create stability, build something meaningful, and leave behind something I can be proud of. They remind me why hard work, persistence, and integrity matter. At the end of the day, success means more when you have people you love to share it with, and they are a huge part of everything I do.
