Community Highlights: Meet Amanda Marino of Next Level Recovery Associates

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Marino.

Hi Amanda, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’m a native to South Florida. I’m a mom, female business owner, mental health & addiction advocate, and professional. I had a traumatic childhood, which brought me down a dark road in my teens and early twenties. I was given a second chance at life, found healing and passion, and purpose. Once I gained my own mental stability and personal recovery, I knew that I had a calling to make a difference. I spent years working on myself before I pursued my education and trainings. I had dreams, that once seemed out of reach like obtaining a college degree, running a half marathon, starting my own 501c3, owning my own business, being a present and emotionally available parent. All of my dreams and goals have come to fruition and then some. Last year I was a featured professional on A&E “Digital Addiction”. I was on three episodes in the season. It was my dream almost 16 years ago, to be on tv for something that made a difference in people’s lives. I spent 18 years on and off in the entertainment industry. I wanted to be more than I was then, a young sexy girl. I wanted to be a woman of substance, which I’ve worked tirelessly to become.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been easy. The work that my organization does with Substance Use Disorder, Digital Addictions, and Mental Health is intense. Our business took off in the beginning of the pandemic and we e continue to grow and expand internationally. I’m thankful for the work that I am humbled to do each day, however, you have to be tough and take really good care of yourself. I’ve had many people doubt me, not ones who matter. My close circle of family and friends has helped me to be in the place I am in today.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Next Level Recovery Associates?
