Today we’d like to introduce you to Talia Bethany
Hi Talia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Well, my name is Natalia “Talia Bethany” Barreau and my career began within an internship post-college for an online media news outlet. From there I began freelance writing as well as working as a Production Assistant/Assistant Producer for a film company. When the pandemic hit and work came to a halt I decided to venture out and start my own mini web series called TALIA TALKS.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road. I have dealt with things such as imposter syndrome, negative energy from others, and honestly just all the craziness of 2020.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a cultural commentator, on-air talent, production assistant, and DJ. I am most proud of myself for being able to put myself out there in ways that I previously wouldn’t have. I believe what sets me apart is my story and the storytelling that I do through my work. I believe I have a unique perspective being a Haitian American woman, creative, & music enthusiast growing up in South Florida.
