Today we’d like to introduce you to Scott Finn.
Scott, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I enjoy photography, but I’ve never really been good at painting, drawing or sculpture. I love to be around creative people, and so I have worked in art-related fields such as home decor and antiques.
Lately, I became passionate about street art and how it impacts our everyday lives. I use my ability in photography to document what I discover out on the streets, abandoned places, and trackside. My journey into the world of street art has opened my life to a whole new experience. I have met the truly talented artists of the street. They do amazing work on canvas too. I have become a graffiti photographer as a direct result of the impact that these very talented artists have had on me.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am a graffiti photographer inspired by the many talented street artists I’ve met. I’m motivated to help preserve current street art. I’m grateful to this culture of artist that introduced me to my calling as a photographer. Recently, I had an artist say to me, “thank you, I never thought that anyone would see my work.”
What do you know now that you wished you had learned earlier?
I’ve been taking photographs for a very long time. It wasn’t until recently. I ever called myself a photographer. Just follow your heart, follow your passion.
