Hi Tiago, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my career very young, 15 years old, since there I’ve been performing and teaching Micropigmentation (permanent makeup) for many years. In fact, I accomplished countless procedures. I used to travel to see clients in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, right now EYEBROW KING headquarters is in Miami. I am very passionate about permanent cosmetics, and I enjoy sharing all the ins and outs of this incredible technique. Today, I can stay that I am best known for working with actresses, models, influencers, and public figures in achieving their desired beauty goals.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When there are changes in your industry or a pandemic, it may affect your professional goals. For example, if your industry becomes more reliant on technology, you may find it difficult to advance in your career if you have limited technical skills. Throughout your career, it’s helpful to remain flexible and continue learning to adapt to changes that may occur.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’ve always worked in the beauty industry. I have been working strictly with micro-pigmentation for about ten years. My company was founded in 2014, and at the beginning, we were more focused on cosmetics procedures; now we have also taken paramedical procedures. We specialize in all kinds of micro-pigmentation (permanent makeup) such as eyebrows, eyeliner, lip color revitalization, areola reconstruction for post-surgical cancer patients. What makes me most proud about my company is that I started by myself, with a lot of discouragement from others. After a few years with a lot of good people that I found along the way, it became a company with a reputation. I believe what differentiates my work from others is my passion for perfection, my connection to my clients, and my obsession in learning new techniques and developing new skills. Usually, people say that nothing is perfect, but I do believe that we can get very close to it!
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Regardless of where you are in your career, everyone can use a mentor to help guide them. We know from research that people with mentors get promoted faster, earn a higher salary, and are more satisfied with their careers.
During that time, stay focused on tasks you can complete to make progress toward your goals. When you make your goals a priority, you’re more likely to accomplish them.
