Check Out Shaundrick Roberts’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaundrick Roberts.

Hi Shaundrick, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My story has really been shaped by a long-standing passion for design, creativity, and working with people.

I started my career in retail and gradually found my way into the world of interior design, where I discovered how much I enjoyed helping people translate their ideas into spaces that felt personal and intentional. As my career developed, I moved into leadership and began taking on greater responsibility for developing teams, creating strong client experiences, and growing the business.

What I’ve learned along the way is that great design is about much more than how a room looks. It’s about listening, understanding how people live, solving problems, and creating something that feels personal to the people who inhabit it. Leadership has added another dimension to that for me. I’ve found that I genuinely enjoy developing people, building strong teams, and creating an environment where others can do their best work.

Alongside my professional career, I’ve continued developing my own creative voice through S Roberts Design, my interior design practice. It gives me an opportunity to explore design from a more personal perspective and create spaces that feel sophisticated, collected, and livable.

Today, I see design, leadership, and entrepreneurship as three connected parts of my journey. Each has shaped how I approach my work, and I’m excited to continue growing creatively and professionally while finding new ways to bring those pieces together.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, but I think that’s part of building a meaningful career.

I’ve had to adapt to change, step into unfamiliar situations, and continually challenge myself to grow. Moving into leadership, in particular, taught me to become more decisive, intentional, and comfortable taking responsibility.

There have certainly been setbacks and moments of uncertainty, but I’ve learned not to let them define the direction I’m going. I focus on what I can learn, what I can improve, and what comes next.

Those experiences have made me more resilient, self-aware, and confident in my ability to navigate whatever comes next.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work is rooted in interior design, with a strong focus on creating beautiful, thoughtful spaces and meaningful experiences for the people I work with.

I’m drawn to interiors that feel sophisticated and collected without feeling overly styled. I love working with texture, proportion, natural materials, layered neutrals, and statement pieces to create spaces that have personality while still feeling comfortable and livable.

At the same time, much of my career has involved leading people and creating strong client experiences. That has shaped the way I approach design. I’ve learned that understanding people, communicating well, and paying attention to the details are just as important as having a strong creative vision.

Through S Roberts Design, I’m continuing to develop my own design perspective while bringing together the creative and leadership experience I’ve built throughout my career.

I’m most proud of being able to combine those two sides of myself. I care deeply about the design itself, but I also care about the people and experience behind it. I think that balance is what sets my approach apart.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I’ve been fortunate to have people throughout my career who have challenged me, supported me, and believed in me.

I’m grateful for my partner, family, the mentors, teammates, clients, and leaders who have helped shape the way I work and lead. I’m also grateful to God for the timing, opportunities, and lessons along the way.

Ultimately, I believe success is rarely a solo effort. I’m thankful for everyone who has been part of my journey.
