Today we’d like to introduce you to Savannah McClendon.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey hasn’t been a straight line at all, and honestly, I think that’s what makes it feel right. I’ve always been drawn to creativity and connection. I was the friend planning things, designing little flyers, telling stories, and bringing people together without realizing those were actual skills I could build a life around. Over time, I stopped treating those things like “just hobbies” and started taking them seriously.
Community came first through my dog mom group. It started as something fun and personal, and turned into a space where women could connect, feel supported, and show up as themselves. From there, brand design felt like a natural extension. I love helping people visually tell their story and feel confident in how they show up. Writing followed right alongside all of that. Becoming an author gave me a deeper outlet to explore identity, healing, and imagination in a really honest way.
At the same time, I’ve been working toward a future in entertainment publicity. I’m drawn to the behind-the-scenes work, shaping narratives, building brands, and connecting people and stories in ways that actually matter. Even when my path hasn’t looked traditional or linear, every step has taught me something and pushed me closer to where I want to be.
Right now, everything I do feels connected. Community building, branding, writing, and PR all live under the same umbrella of storytelling. Long term, I want to build my own PR firm that blends strategy with heart, creativity, and culture. I’m still growing and learning, but I truly feel like I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. My journey has been full of twists, pauses, and moments where I questioned myself more than I’d like to admit. I’ve dealt with uncertainty, financial stress, self-doubt, and the pressure of trying to figure everything out without a clear blueprint. There were times when I felt behind or like I was doing too much at once, wondering if I should just pick one thing and stick to it.
Balancing creativity with real life responsibilities hasn’t always been easy. I’ve had to learn how to pour into my passions while still paying bills, going to school, and showing up for myself mentally and emotionally. Comparison was another big struggle. Watching people my age hit milestones on more “traditional” timelines sometimes made me second-guess my path.
But every challenge forced me to get clearer, tougher, and more intentional. I’ve learned how to pivot, how to trust my instincts, and how to keep going even when things feel messy or uncertain. The road hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been honest, and it’s shaped me into someone who knows how to build something meaningful from the ground up.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At the core of my work, I’m a storyteller and community builder. I curate spaces, visuals, and narratives that help people feel seen, connected, and confident in who they are. Right now, that shows up in a few different ways. I run a dog mom community centered around joy and real connection, I design brands and visual identities for creatives and small businesses, and I write. Becoming an author has been especially meaningful for me because it allows me to explore identity, healing, and imagination in a deeply personal way.
I also specialize in helping people tell their story clearly and authentically. Whether it’s through branding, community experiences, or writing, I focus on making things feel human, intentional, and aligned. I’m drawn to the behind-the-scenes work of shaping narratives, which is why I’m building toward a future in entertainment publicity and, eventually, my own PR firm.
What I’m most proud of is building things from the ground up without a blueprint. I didn’t come from a traditional path, and I’ve learned how to trust my instincts, pivot when needed, and keep creating even when things felt uncertain. I’m proud of the communities I’ve built, the stories I’ve told, and the fact that I’ve stayed true to myself while growing.
What sets me apart is how interconnected my work is. I don’t see branding, community, writing, and PR as separate lanes. To me, they’re all part of the same ecosystem. I lead with heart, creativity, and intention, and I care deeply about impact, not just aesthetics. Everything I create is rooted in storytelling and connection, and that’s what people tend to remember me for.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something that might surprise people is that a lot of what I create comes from quiet moments and self-reflection. While my work and brand are very community-focused and expressive, I’m actually pretty introspective behind the scenes. I spend a lot of time observing, writing things down, and sitting with ideas before sharing them.
Another surprise is that I didn’t always feel confident calling myself creative or seeing this as a real career path. For a long time, I downplayed my ideas or treated them like side passions instead of something worth building. Learning to trust my instincts and own my creativity has been a big personal shift for me.
Most people see the finished product, the events, the visuals, the writing, but there’s a lot of thought, emotion, and intention underneath it all. I care deeply about how things feel, not just how they look, and that’s something I carry into everything I create.
