Today we’d like to introduce you to Saeed Tabibi.
Hi Saeed, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started singing since I could walk. Picked up trumpet at around 9 years old. Then started making beats with my friends in middle school and high school. I picked up guitar, some keys and drums as I went along making music and incorporating more live instruments. I went to school and got a bachelor’s degree at FIU for Marine Biology and then a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Belmont University. All the while I made music. I played bass for a few bands and wrote and produced my own songs without ever putting them out. Around 2023 I started playing guitar and singing in a band called “Associates” which inspired me to start putting out my own music. Since then I’ve released a full album, streaming on all platforms and available on vinyl. I have also released several singles and collabs. All my music is independent and released through my own record label “East Hialeah Records.” I make it my goal to make all original tracks, with live instrumentation, recorded analog on tape, and containing positive, up lifting, and deep spiritual messages.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has definitely had some bumps. I have had music and musical ideas taken from me by people I thought were “friends” at the time. I have lost money investing into “promotions” that have not been legit. I also work full time throughout my entire music career, so time is limited. But all these hardships have made me stronger, more appreciative, and more aware.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a music producer, writer, singer, artist, and multi-instrumentalist. I make retro soul/r&b music. I am proud to make all my music the “old school way” with live instrumentation, recorded analog on tape. I am also proud to share a positive message in everything I do which I hope will up lift people. What sets me apart is my unrelenting work ethic which keeps me striving to get better everyday.
