Check Out Roslie Similien’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roslie Similien.

Hi Roslie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve had a passion for travel for as long as I can remember — honestly, it feels like I was born with it. For me, travel has always been about more than just taking a trip. It’s about the moments, the memories, and the way a new place can leave a mark on your soul.

Over the years, I found myself becoming the “go-to” person when friends and family wanted to plan a trip. I loved helping them figure out where to go, how to make it special, and how to turn their vision into a real adventure. Eventually, I realized this wasn’t just something I enjoyed — it was something I was meant to do.

That’s how Due Adventures was born. I wanted to create a space where people could get personalized support to plan meaningful travel — whether it’s a quick getaway, a once-in-a-lifetime trip, or even travel for work. Today, I get to help people turn their dreams into plans and their plans into memories, and that’s honestly the most rewarding part of what I do.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like so many others, COVID threw a major curveball my way — travel came to a standstill, which was tough for someone building a business around helping people see the world. On top of that, I was balancing real life and work, which sometimes made it challenging to give my business the time and energy I wanted to.

But those struggles also taught me a lot about resilience and flexibility. I learned how to adjust, stay creative, and keep the bigger picture in mind. Looking back, those tough moments shaped the way I run Due Adventures today — with more intention and gratitude for every trip I get to plan.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I help people turn their travel dreams into real, meaningful adventures. Through Due Adventures, I work with clients to design trips that fit who they are — not just where they want to go. I specialize in personalized travel planning, taking time to really listen to what someone hopes to experience and then building an itinerary that reflects their style, budget, and goals. Whether it’s a quick weekend getaway, a bucket-list adventure, or even travel for work, I love crafting journeys that feel intentional and unforgettable.

One of my favorite parts of this work is providing inspiration and guidance. Through my content and conversations with clients, I get to help people see what’s possible — even when they’re not sure where to start. I focus on balancing dreams with practical realities, making sure each plan is not only exciting but doable and stress-free.

What I’m most proud of is the feedback I get from people after their trips — when they tell me they never thought they could go somewhere, try something new, or make time for an adventure, and then they did. Knowing that I helped create those moments and memories is incredibly rewarding.
What sets me apart is how personal I make the process. I don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach — I take the time to listen and learn about each traveler. I’m also realistic and transparent about what’s possible, so there are no surprises. And I bridge both sides of travel: the dreaming and the doing. Some people love imagining a trip but get overwhelmed with logistics — I make sure they get the best of both worlds.

At the heart of it, I’m passionate about helping people travel boldly, thoughtfully, and on their own terms. That’s what Due Adventures is all about.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I’d say the quality that’s been most important to my success is perseverance. Building something meaningful takes time, and there have been plenty of moments when life, work, or the world (hello, COVID!) made things challenging. Perseverance keeps me moving forward, even when the road isn’t smooth.

I’d also add genuine care for people — I truly want every client to have an amazing experience. That personal connection is what drives me to go the extra mile, double-check the details, and make sure every trip is thoughtful and memorable.
