Today we’d like to introduce you to Randdy Fundora.
Hi Randdy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Your Story – How It All Started
My name is Randdy Fundora, a Creative Director originally from Havana with over a decade of experience working across Cuba, Spain, and the United States. My journey began while studying Communication at the University of Havana, where I discovered my passion for visual storytelling and design. Later, I completed a master’s degree in Salamanca, which expanded my strategic and creative perspective.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with agencies and brands such as Samsung, the United Nations, Viterbit, Gopuff, Pure Green, Mandao, Va-Cuba, and more—developing campaigns, brand concepts, photography, video, and visual strategies.
Today I live in Miami, where I lead Hundred Creatives, a creative group focused on high-impact visual work. I also serve as Creative Director at Pure Green. My motivation comes from using creativity as a tool to connect cultures, especially Cuba and its global community.
Obstacles / Challenges
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Moving to new countries, adapting to different markets, rebuilding my professional network from scratch, and competing in places where creativity is a highly demanding industry have all been challenges. I’ve also had to navigate leading large projects with limited resources while maintaining high standards. Every obstacle, however, pushed me to grow, learn new tools, refine workflows, and stay adaptable.
Your Work – Professional Life
My work sits at the intersection of strategy, design, and storytelling. I build brands and campaigns from the ground up, lead creative teams, produce visual content—photography, video, design—and create systems that help brands grow consistently. I enjoy working with expanding businesses and projects where creativity plays a transformative role. I also collaborate as a freelancer with international organizations and continue growing Hundred Creatives with a focus on functional design, digital campaigns, and content for brands in the U.S. and Latin America.
Essential Qualities – Key Traits
The quality that has shaped my career the most is creative discipline. It’s not only about having ideas—it’s about turning them into something real, measurable, and impactful. Adaptability has also been essential, as I’ve learned to work across cultures, industries, budgets, and timelines. Lastly, having a holistic vision allows me to see design, strategy, photography, and production as parts of one ecosystem.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road hasn’t always been easy. Moving between countries forced me to constantly adapt to new markets, rebuild my professional network from zero, and prove myself in highly competitive creative industries. I’ve faced moments where resources were limited, expectations were high, and the pressure to deliver pushed me beyond my comfort zone. Navigating these transitions while maintaining the quality of my work has been challenging, but every obstacle strengthened my discipline, expanded my perspective, and shaped the creative leader I am today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My work sits at the intersection of strategy, design, and storytelling. I specialize in building brands from the ground up—developing their visual identity, crafting campaigns, and producing the photography, video, and content that bring them to life. I’m known for combining a strategic mindset with strong visual execution, ensuring that every creative decision has purpose and impact.
I’m proud of the versatility of my career: I’ve led creative direction for international organizations, developed campaigns for fast-growing U.S. brands, and built systems that help businesses scale consistently. What sets me apart is my holistic approach—I’m not only a designer or a strategist or a photographer; I connect all these worlds to create cohesive, high-impact brands. My goal is always the same: to translate ideas into meaningful visual experiences that resonate with people.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The most important quality behind my success has been creative discipline—the ability to consistently transform ideas into meaningful, high-quality work. It’s not just about inspiration; it’s about the commitment to refine, iterate, and execute at a high level every time. Adaptability has also played a key role, allowing me to navigate different cultures, industries, and creative environments with ease. Combined with a holistic mindset that connects design, strategy, photography, and production, these qualities have allowed me to create work that is both visually impactful and strategically grounded.
