Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachell Soler.
Hi Rachell, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started singing very young. I was only six years old in elementary school when I began vocal training. I grew up performing in school and church choirs, often being assigned solos, and from that age I already knew I wanted to be a singer. As a teenager, I began writing my own music and uploading it to SoundCloud under the name rachi relos. I would record myself in my bedroom with the Blue Yeti mic my dad gifted me. It was pure passion. Even when nobody was listening, I created because I loved it.
When I went to college in Miami to pursue my bachelor’s degree, the city completely changed me. Miami helped me discover myself more deeply as an artist and confirmed what I had felt since childhood. I realized I was born to sing, not for a job or a paycheck, but because it is my purpose.
After graduating, I knew I needed a real job that could support me without turning music into something I felt forced to do. I love it too much to let it become a source of pressure. Today, I am earning my Paralegal certification and exploring a career in law, while still pursuing music in a way that feels free, genuine, and true to who I am, with no strings attached.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The struggles along the way were very real because I was alone in the entire process. I had no team, no manager, and no agent. It was just me and God, and I eventually realized that was all I needed. I learned the hard way that the music industry does not always value talent. People often focused on my body and my looks before they ever listened to my voice, and I hated that. That experience pushed me to stay independent because I wanted to be my own boss. Today, I am truly grateful that I never got involved with people who did not have my best interest at heart. I get to create what makes me happy instead of chasing likes and views. I have seen that many people will do anything for attention, and that is something I am not willing to do. It may take me longer than most, but I know God’s purpose for me is this, and I will not stop. I trust His timing, and I know I will end up exactly where I am meant to be.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I do not believe in shortcuts. I am a singer, a songwriter, and a public figure, and my purpose is to inspire people not only with my music but with the way I live my life. I immigrated from the Dominican Republic, and what I am most proud of is making a name for myself from the very bottom. My biggest motivation is my family and the desire to show them that every sacrifice they made was worth it.
I want to inspire people who come from nothing and remind them that they can do it too. What sets me apart is my realness. I even call myself La Real on Instagram, which means The Real One, because I refuse to fake my journey. I know that the world will try to make you become something you are not just for likes and views, but the truth is you have to stay grounded in your values. There is no fast lane to a meaningful life or career. Everything I have comes from hard work, faith, and authenticity, and I would not want it any other way, and I think that is what sets me apart.
How do you think about luck?
I do not believe in luck, but for the sake of the question, I would say I have had good luck. My so-called good luck brought me to this city. It was not really luck, it was God, but you know what I mean. Living in Miami allowed me to experience the flashy lifestyle up close and realize exactly what I did not want to become. I am thankful for the lessons I learned.
