Check Out Prince Durocher’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Prince Durocher.

Hi Prince, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
How I got to where I am today is truly through God’s guidance.

For a period of my life, tragedy after tragedy weighed heavily on me. After a while, you start to wonder how much more you can take before giving up. It’s a painful thing to endure. People would always tell me, “You’re so strong,” but what many don’t realize is that strong people break too. Just because someone handles things well doesn’t mean the weight isn’t heavy.

What helped me most was prayer and aligning my life with God’s plan. I had to take extreme accountability for every situation—whether it was within my control or not—and allow myself to grow from every experience, every setback, every relationship, and every obstacle that tried to hold me back.

Another major part of my growth was surrounding myself with people who genuinely cared about my well-being. The people who loved me enough to tell me what I needed to hear, not what I wanted to hear. That played a huge role in my rebirth .

I lost everything and somehow ended up getting it all back—and more.

Life is truly what you make it. You have to choose your hard.

Making money is hard, but being broke is hard too.

Being fit and staying disciplined is hard, but dealing with the consequences of poor health is hard too.

Building relationships is hard, but loneliness is hard too.

There is no easy path in life. You have to choose which hard you’re willing to endure.

I started behind many people. I came from a broken home. I lost my mother, Siasie Durocher, and at just 21 years old I became a guardian to both of my siblings. Then I spent years trying to figure life out. By 27, I faced another hardship that completely reset me back to zero. If it wasn’t for my faith in God and the people He placed around me, I honestly don’t know how I would have overcome it.

My mother always taught me to turn depression into motivation.

But what happens when motivation runs out?

Discipline takes over.

Discipline is what keeps you going when you don’t feel inspired. It’s what keeps you moving forward on the days you want to quit.

So turn your depression into motivation, and use that motivation to build a disciplined routine that carries you toward your goals.

It takes six months to change your life and six months more to maintain it. The results won’t happen overnight, but they will happen if you stay committed .

Lock in.

Trust God.

Stay disciplined.

Become the best version of yourself.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all. If anything, my journey has been defined by overcoming obstacles.

I’ve experienced loss, financial hardship, personal setbacks, and moments where I felt like everything I had worked for was slipping away. Losing my mother at a young age changed my life forever, and stepping into a leadership role for my family taught me responsibility much earlier than most people experience.

There were times when I felt like I was constantly rebuilding. Just when I thought I had things figured out, life would present another challenge. I’ve had to learn how to adapt, stay focused, and keep moving forward even when the outcome wasn’t guaranteed.

What helped me through those moments was my faith in God, my support system, and my belief that every setback was preparing me for something greater. I stopped asking, “Why is this happening to me?” and started asking, “What is this trying to teach me?”

Today, I don’t look at my struggles with regret. I look at them as part of my story. They taught me resilience, humility, gratitude, and discipline. They shaped the man, entrepreneur, and creator I am today.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a content creator, entrepreneur, host, and community leader based in South Florida. Through my platform, Obeyprincee, I create content centered around lifestyle, family, entrepreneurship, personal development, entertainment, and community impact. My goal has always been to inspire others by sharing both the wins and the lessons that come from overcoming adversity.

Over the years, I’ve worn many hats—from entertainer and event host to business professional and mentor. I’ve built businesses, helped brands grow, worked in sales and marketing, and used my platform to connect with people from all walks of life. What I specialize in is authentic storytelling and building genuine relationships, whether that’s with my audience, brands, or the people in my community.

What I’m most proud of isn’t any single accomplishment—it’s my ability to keep moving forward despite the obstacles I’ve faced. I’ve experienced personal loss, financial setbacks, and moments where I had to rebuild from the ground up. Through faith, discipline, and resilience, I’ve been able to turn those challenges into opportunities for growth and use my journey to encourage others who may be facing similar struggles.

What sets me apart is authenticity. I don’t just share the highlights; I share the reality behind the success. My audience connects with me because they see someone who has faced adversity, taken accountability, continued to grow, and remained committed to becoming a better man, father, entrepreneur, and leader. I believe influence is more than numbers—it’s the ability to positively impact the people who trust and follow your journey.

At the end of the day, my mission is simple: create, inspire, elevate, and leave every person, brand, and community better than I found them.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
One of the questions I get asked often is how to find a mentor and build a strong network. The truth is, networking isn’t about collecting business cards or adding people on social media—it’s about building genuine relationships.

For me, some of the best mentors I’ve had weren’t always the most successful people in the room. They were the people willing to tell me the truth, challenge my thinking, hold me accountable, and help me grow. Sometimes mentorship comes from a business owner, a community leader, a friend, a family member, or someone who has simply walked a path before you.

What has worked well for me is putting myself in environments where growth is happening. Attending networking events, volunteering, serving my community, joining organizations, reaching out to people I admire, and most importantly, being willing to provide value before asking for anything in return. Relationships are built through consistency and service, not transactions.

A big part of my journey has also been through the Siasie Durocher Foundation, which was created in honor of my mother. Through our annual Back-to-School event and community partnerships, we’ve been fortunate to connect youth, young adults, entrepreneurs, and families with resources, opportunities, and mentors who can help guide them through different stages of life. One of my greatest passions is creating environments where people can meet others who may change the trajectory of their future.

That being said, my biggest mentor has always been God.

There have been moments in my life where I didn’t have all the answers, didn’t know who to turn to, and couldn’t see the path ahead. During those times, my faith became my foundation. Through prayer, reflection, and trusting God’s timing, I’ve found guidance that no person could provide. Mentors are important, but I believe the greatest mentorship comes from building a relationship with God and allowing Him to direct your steps.

My advice is simple: seek wisdom, stay teachable, serve others, and never stop learning. The right mentors often appear when you’re actively becoming the person worthy of receiving the guidance you’re looking for.
