Today we’d like to introduce you to Papou Koliopoulos.
Hi Papou , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Paintings found me. I would have died without it.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have found myself obsessed with it. Hard or smooth or challenging or in flow or full of obstacles I don’t stop for anything.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I paint. I paint my inner worlds. I paint like a child. I peel back everything I’m “supposed” to do and be like and I just paint as intuitively as possible. I find the more freely I paint the more I like it. I paint because I like it. I’ve been healing myself in the process and in turn changing my life and the life and quality of life for my children.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I receive so much support from those around me. However my partner Dee has held my career as her own. She is professionally a strategist and coach and has given me all the time to help me become all I have. My friends have also been a big part of my advancement. I receive love and support and inspiration from the community around me. I don’t come from a strong family unit but my people have become my family.
