Check Out Nhi Le Luc’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nhi Le Luc.

Nhi, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey into filmmaking started at a young age with a deep fascination for music videos and films. I remember watching them over and over again, studying every detail from camera angles and colors to the way certain scenes were framed and constantly wondering how those moments were created. While most people simply watched, I found myself analyzing every frame and questioning how the visuals came together. I would even watch behind the scenes videos online, trying to understand the creative process behind it all. That is when I realized I had a real passion for visual storytelling.

I have always been a vivid daydreamer. My mind is constantly filled with visual ideas, scenes, and atmospheres that I imagine and want to bring to life. For me, filmmaking became a way to turn the images I see in my mind into something real. It allows me to express how I see the world and how I experience emotions through visuals. I am inspired by the beauty in simple moments and the magic that can exist in everyday life and by transforming something small into something meaningful through imagery and storytelling.

Growing up in a small town, I initially believed my work would only reach a small circle of friends and people around me. But unexpectedly my visuals started gaining attention from people abroad. Creatives from different countries discovered my work, connected with my style and were interested in collaborating. That opened an entirely new world for me and eventually led me to travel and work with artists and creatives internationally.

Entering the industry as a woman also shaped my perspective. Film and media can still be very male dominated environments, and I became aware early on that women can experience the industry differently. Through conversations with friends and other women in creative fields I also heard many stories about uncomfortable experiences behind the scenes. That made me even more motivated to contribute to shaping a different environment.

Today filmmaking allows me to connect with people from different cultures, travel, collaborate and continue developing my voice as a director. What started as curiosity and imagination has grown into a career that allows me to create meaningful visual stories and work with inspiring creatives around the world.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I would not say it has been a completely smooth road, but it has always been an exciting journey. Like many creatives I had to build a lot of things from the ground up. In the beginning I did not always have a large team or the resources that bigger productions have, so I learned how to take on multiple roles myself. From directing and producing to organizing shoots and sometimes even stepping in front of the camera. That experience taught me a lot about problem solving, leadership and trusting my creative instincts.

Another challenge was learning to stand confidently in my vision as a young female director. In many creative environments you sometimes have to prove your perspective before people fully understand what you want to create. Over time I realized that respect in this industry is something you earn through consistency, confidence and the quality of your work. Those moments pushed me to become even clearer about my artistic voice and the value I want to bring into the industry.

Staying open to international opportunities has also played an important role in my journey. Sometimes support and creative alignment come from unexpected places and working with artists and creatives from different countries has allowed me to grow both professionally and creatively. Experiencing different creative environments abroad has been incredibly valuable for my development as a director.

Looking back those challenges were necessary. They pushed me to become more resilient, more independent and more confident in the perspective I bring to my work.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a film director and visual storyteller working across music videos, fashion, beauty, brand campaigns and commercials. My work focuses on cinematic storytelling that feels intentional, emotional and visually striking. I am drawn to creating atmospheres that feel timeless and immersive while blending strong visual aesthetics with storytelling that carries depth and feeling.

Although I am based in Europe my work is predominantly international. I collaborate with artists, brands and creatives across different countries and travel often plays a role in shaping the mood and visual language of the projects I direct.

My work is known for visuals that feel elegant, magnetic and deeply considered, often characterized by vibrant and saturated colors and rich color grading. I have always been fascinated by the emotional power of color and how it shapes the atmosphere of a story. I approach every frame with intention while focusing on composition, light and mood to create visuals that feel both modern and nostalgic.

What I am most proud of is the opportunity this work gives me to connect with people around the world. Through international collaborations I have built meaningful relationships with artists and creatives and many of these collaborations grow into long term partnerships and friendships. Being trusted with someone’s vision and having people believe in my creative process is something I value deeply.

What sets me apart is that I approach filmmaking from multiple creative perspectives. In addition to directing, I sometimes step in front of the camera myself, which allows me to understand the emotional and performative side of being on set. That perspective helps me connect more deeply with the artists and talents I work with and often leads to more authentic and powerful visuals.

Alongside my directing work I am currently building my production company “Enchantée” which represents the larger creative universe I want to create through my work. My goal is to produce cinematic projects that merge storytelling, music, fashion and strong visual identity while collaborating with artists and brands who want to create something bold and timeless.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5 to 10 years, I see myself continuing to grow both creatively and professionally. One of my biggest goals is to expand my production company and build a strong team around it so we can produce larger and more ambitious projects across film, music and commercial work.

I am excited about collaborating with major artists and working with bigger brands on campaigns in fashion, beauty and lifestyle. Directing commercials and visual campaigns is particularly interesting to me because it allows you to combine storytelling, strong aesthetics and brand identity in a cinematic way.

At the same time, I want to continue developing my presence in front of the camera. Modeling and directing allow me to express creativity from two different perspectives and I enjoy exploring both sides as a multidimensional creative.

Another important goal for me is to create more space for women in the industry. I would love to build productions where female creatives feel trusted and supported in their roles whether that is in directing, cinematography or other positions on set.

Ultimately, I hope to work on projects around the world and collaborate with creatives from different cultures. Traveling and creating globally has always been part of my dream. I want to continue building a strong presence in the creative industry while producing work that resonates visually and emotionally. If that journey eventually leads to major recognition or awards that would be an incredible milestone.
