Today we’d like to introduce you to Monique Grant.
Hi Monique, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
“When you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.” It wasn’t until the COVID pandemic that I realized the need for intentional touch. I decided to take my career as a massage therapist seriously after the world shut down.
I saw an opportunity to bring a sense of calm and healing to people who desperately had been deprived. I took advantage of the aspect of being a mobile massage therapist once the restrictions were lifted, and ever since, I’ve been living my dream; measuring, maintaining and managing the quality of my clients.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing worth having comes easy. I’ve had several late nights and early mornings. My biggest challenge, thus far, has been the challenge of disciplining myself to stick to a schedule and remain focused. Being both the provider and operator of a hands-on business can be difficult at times. However, I’ve learned the art of balance and the necessity for a team that holds me accountable.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As a clinical and sports massage therapist, I enjoy taking care of clients who need post-operative care, clients with chronic pain, and those who simply want to relax. I am known for my ability to explain a process and make things “make sense”. Client/Patient education is key!
I am most proud of the ways in which I’ve been able to impact my clients as I serve as a conduit for self-care and healing. What sets M3 Therapy apart is the level of time spent to encourage and uplift each client.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The most important attribute for any successful story is to have tenacity. There will be plenty of times your choice as a business owner is challenged, but you have to stay the course. One thing that I keep in the forefront of my mind is the idea that ‘my obedience to my calling is the breakthrough someone else is needing’. I stand by that, and I always remember that “this” is bigger than me.
