Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey into floristry and event design started long before I officially launched Bold Bloom Expressions. I grew up surrounded by flowers in the beautiful island of Jamaica. Both of my parents were florists so creativity, beauty, and serving people through life’s most meaningful moments were always a key part of my foundation.
Over the years, I realized florals are more than decorations; they tell stories, create experiences, and bring comfort, joy, and connection. What began as a passion slowly grew into a business rooted in intentionality, elegance, and service.
Today, through Bold Bloom Expressions, I have the honor of designing for weddings, celebrations, corporate events, memorials, and community experiences across South Florida and beyond. One of the things I value most is creating moments that feel personal and memorable regardless of budget.
My journey hasn’t been without challenges, but faith, resilience, and obedience to God’s vision for my life have continued to guide me. I’m also a mother, and motherhood has strengthened my creativity, discipline, and purpose in ways I never expected.
Where I am today is the result of years of growth, learning, community support, and simply deciding to keep showing up even when the path wasn’t always clear to me.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped me into the business owner and woman I am today.
Like many entrepreneurs, one of the biggest struggles was learning how to build a business while still building confidence in myself. There were seasons where resources were limited, opportunities felt uncertain, and I had to wear every hat in the business designer, marketer, delivery driver, accountant, customer service, and creative director all at once.
Another challenge was learning how to balance motherhood, personal growth, faith, and entrepreneurship simultaneously. There were moments of exhaustion, self-doubt, and wondering if I was truly capable of carrying the vision God placed in my heart.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a floral designer and creative entrepreneur based in South Florida and the owner of Bold Bloom Expressions, a floral and event design company specializing in weddings, celebrations, corporate events, and memorials.
Growing up in Jamaica with both of my parents as florists inspired my love for creativity and meaningful design. Today, I’m known for creating elegant, intentional experiences that make people feel celebrated, seen, and cared for.
What I’m most proud of is building my business through faith, resilience, and consistency while balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship. What sets me apart is the heart behind my work. I truly love what I do! I believe florals should tell a story and create lasting connections.
What are your plans for the future?
I’m excited about continuing to grow Bold Bloom Expressions into a recognized luxury floral and event brand across South Florida and beyond. My goal is to expand into larger weddings, corporate events, and curated community experiences while continuing to create meaningful moments through design.
I’m also looking forward to strengthening the business behind the creativity growing my team, expanding my brand presence, and creating more opportunities to collaborate within the event industry.
Most importantly, I’m excited about continuing to evolve both personally and professionally while building a legacy my son can be proud of. I truly believe this is only the beginning for me and my business.
