Today we’d like to introduce you to Manuel Bermudez
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Everything started back there in the year 2015 when I had the desire of leaving Venezuela to immigrate to the United States to find the job of my dreams as a network engineer, for some reason life showed to me that not everything goes as expected and the beginning of a new life here was not easy, I had multiple jobs that I did not like, but I had to do them to survive, I did a little bit of everything, since working on a laundry overnight till driving for transport applications, those were my sources of income on my first years in the US, what I did not know is that God was preparing me for another chapter of my life and what I was living at that moment was just building my character in every way, making me ready to go to another level, and it was like that, some years later, my initial dream came true and I got the position in the IT field I was looking for, but that dream did not come alone and unexpectedly I discovered an strong passion for business and entrepreneurship, so I decided to create an startup mixing some of my passions (business and technology) focused on helping people to be happy while enjoying the life in the way I personally like to do it, “making new connections while exploring the ocean by boat” that ended up in the foundation of my company that I named: Splash “your social Boat”, with the promise of changing the concept the people are used to sail in Miami.
I am so proud and happy of being able to impact the life of millions of people that visit our city with the desire of bringing back home connections and lifetime memories.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The way has not been easy, one of the biggest challenges has been the innovation, we needed to define a totally new concept in the market which is the social experiences on shared boats and at the beginning we did not know how the people would react to it.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a network engineer, passionate with business and technology, I’m currently focusing on growing my company, what sets me apart of others is my capacity to place my vision on innovation opportunities that others do not see.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite memories when I was kid was receiving my first video game as a gift in my birthday party.
