Hi lindsay, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I embarked on my makeup journey over a decade ago as a manager at the M.A.C. counter at Nordstrom, Boca Town Center Mall. This role gave me the opportunity to immerse myself in a diverse range of brands and provided invaluable training with M.A.C., helping me build the skills and confidence needed for success. These formative years were crucial in shaping my unique style and approach.
Gradually, I began to take on private clients, eventually discovering my passion for bridal makeup. What I love about working with brides is the opportunity to create looks that are clean, sophisticated, and deeply feminine—qualities that resonate with my personal style. The emotional aspect of enhancing a bride’s natural beauty for such a significant occasion is incredibly rewarding.
Today, my technique has evolved to focus on a natural yet elevated look, with a special emphasis on custom lash applications. I create bespoke lash designs using various textured individual lashes to achieve a natural or glamorous effect, free from visible bands or discomfort. My clients appreciate this tailored approach, and it continues to be a highlight of my work.
I am based out of Miami, FL but service clients all over the United States and abroad. With destination weddings becoming more popular, I expect to continue to travel for Brides in the upcoming year!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely, I’ve faced my share of challenges along the way. One significant struggle has been the tendency to compare myself to others. As an artist, your work is a deeply personal reflection of yourself, and it’s easy to feel disheartened when you see others who have more experience or different opportunities. I had to remind myself that I am on my own unique path, with my own style and timeline.
For many years, I hesitated to take the leap into full-time freelancing, balancing other jobs while keeping makeup as my constant passion. Building a professional luxury kit was another major hurdle. When I decided to specialize in bridal makeup, I knew my kit had to be impeccable and beyond exceptional. Assembling a collection of high-quality products took significant time and investment—it doesn’t happen overnight.
Running my own business has been a multifaceted challenge. Beyond being the artist, I also wear the hats of marketer, customer service representative, accountant, scheduler, and kit cleaner. Developing an efficient system for all these roles is an ongoing process, and it’s something I continue to refine.

I specialize in Bridal Makeup artistry, with a distinct focus on my custom lash technique, which I have meticulously developed over time. I craft lashes from the ground up using various textured individual lashes, allowing for customization in length, shape, and volume to suit each client’s preferences. This technique ensures a natural look, seamlessly complements the eye makeup, and provides a comfortable, undetectable lash band.
In addition to the lash work, many clients book me for the skin technique. I strive for a natural, fresh, and bouncy complexion for brides, while maintaining vibrant color. This is achieved through layering multiple water-based products and translucent powders in varied shades to create a multidimensional effect without heaviness.
What I am most proud of, however, is the deep connections I build with my clients. Being chosen as the makeup artist for someone’s wedding day is a profound honor. The intimate nature of this experience fosters lasting bonds between client and artist, and it is these enduring relationships that I cherish the most.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I’m currently embracing a significant risk in my career. For years, I balanced multiple jobs while building my makeup business, and I often wondered if jumping into full-time freelancing earlier might have accelerated my progress. However, everyone’s journey is unique. My diverse background in retail, business development, sales, and other fields has thoroughly prepared me for running my own business, delivering exceptional client service, and maintaining integrity and punctuality.
Recently, I made the bold decision to commit to makeup artistry full-time. I see myself as a calculated risk-taker. While pursuing this path full-time carries uncertainties, my extensive experience has given me the confidence to believe in my skills and the potential for success. I believe that preparation meets opportunity, and everything unfolds for a reason.
