Check Out Kristen Bosse’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristen Bosse.

Hi Kristen, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have been a pediatric occupational therapist for over two decades, and my journey into this work began long before I ever entered a classroom. When I was 17, my cousin Matthew was born, and I often picked him up and took him to therapy. Watching his therapists support him, empower his family, and truly change his life was instrumental in helping me find my purpose. I knew then that if I could impact even one family the way they impacted his, my life’s work would be meaningful.
After years in traditional clinical settings, I realized that therapy cannot be confined to a table or a clinic room. Children live, learn, and grow in real life — at home, at school, and within their daily routines. That belief shaped what I call “OT in Real Life.” Occupational therapy happens all day, every day, and my goal is to help families recognize that, feel confident in it, and know how to support their child beyond therapy sessions.
Over time, my work has naturally expanded into a deeper understanding of nutrition and holistic strategies and the critical role they play in regulation, development, and overall well-being. Supporting a child means looking at the whole picture — sensory processing, movement, environment, emotional health, and nourishment — not just isolated skills.
I am deeply passionate about collaborating with professionals who share the same values, integrity, and commitment to families. Every child and family deserves an individualized plan that honors their unique needs. My role is to help families navigate the now, understand the next steps, and integrate nutrition and supportive strategies through education, resources, and ongoing guidance — so they feel supported, empowered, and never alone on the journey.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As with anything worth having there were trials but nothing that outweighed joy of watching my dreams come to light.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson by far has been to trust my gut and to remain true to what I love.
