Check Out Johnny Almagno’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Johnny Almagno

Hi Johnny, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am an Italian hairdresser. I opened my first Hair Salon in Rome in 1994. In 2015 I created and patented a working method dedicated to hairdressers that allowed me to obtain the Green Card for Extraordinary Ability and move to the USA, precisely in Florida (Miami Beach). This method is called 4Dcolor® and allows the hairdresser to perform Balayage in 35 minutes instead of 4 hours of work. On July 21, 2024 I inaugurated my first hair salon in Miami Beach (Italian Concept Hair Salon) and I also had the privilege of being invited to present my working method in Tennessee, New York, California.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest obstacle to my move to the US was the distrust of my friends and relatives in Italy. They said to me: “but why do you have to do it”, “aren’t you afraid of failing?” I always “closed my ears” and always kept my eyes fixed on my goal

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am proud to have created a working method that is helping thousands of hairdressers between Europe and the USA to optimize their working time.
I don’t consider myself the best hairdresser, but I’m proud that I’ve managed to achieve every goal I’ve had related to my work.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
One thing is certain, my work will never be replaced by artificial intelligence. The professional hairdresser is an artist and his success is not only knowing how to use his hands, but his brain and above all his heart. In the future, those who will be most successful in my sector will be professionals who have great empathy.
