Check Out Jevon White’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jevon White

Hi Jevon, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Jevon White is the proud father of three sons, Jase, Jordan, and Josiah. Serves in his Heavenly gifted purpose as an actor, writer, and director. As a young teen, he had his first experiences in the arts writing and performing plays in church and auditioning in Los Angeles. Even wrote, directed, and starred in his first faith-based film, Pimped By Satan. Jevon also started teaching acting and filmmaking to the youth in his community and incorporated CharActor Development as an NPO and even found time to create an app for actors that is available in the Google Play Store and AppStore as “ImBookedApp”. Latest endeavor is launching, Catapult International Film Festival in the City of Riviera Beach, FL. Jevon can be seen in commercials ranging from Florida Lottery doing comedy, Pollo Tropical cooking ribs, to Argos Cement while speaking with a Caribbean accent. Also on a host network shows such as Nickelodeon, Crackle, AppleTV, Netflix, HBO, Amazon, HULU, and BET+. Some of Jevon’s most notable roles are Capt. Jack Shrake (FBI Most Wanted), Kip (Kissof Death), James (Dying to be Famous), Nicholas Lovejoy (Bezos), Robber (Thunder Force), Gilles (StartUp), and plenty more. For updates @jevonwhite.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of my struggles along the way has been getting fired from a local governmental supervisor position with a child on the way. Divorced shortly thereafter, while paying a settlement to my ex, fighting for shared custody, and missing out on two very good Bookings due to COVID.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an acting coach and mentor. I train children in the community during summer camp. Most proud of the gains that I’ve had with my sons. Two in college and another doing exceptionally well in elementary school. Not a huge deal but it is something that I’m proud of because I was not raised by my biological father. What sets me apart from others is because I have been a full-time actor now for about 3 years and have operated off faith, prayer, and a few key scriptures.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
My willingness to help those that are serious about their craft. Service to many leads to greatness -Jim Rohn
