Check Out Jen Diaz’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jen Diaz.

Hi Jen, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

Hi I’m Jen from WeRemodelIt. I decided to start documenting our remodel from the start. I’ve always had a passion for Instagram & creating on it. I had tried fashion years before but it just wasn’t for me and I did not follow through.

The home remodel was different. I loved sharing our remodel and decor and how we transformed our home. I also enjoy sharing tips and deals with my followers. It has become my passion especially now that I’m a stay-at-home mom and our followers just love the lifestyle aspect too.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?

Nothing is smooth.

At first, I started with no followers and have been able to grow my account little by little and turn it into a side job. I had to self-teach myself all about social media and sometimes it’s a struggle to grow but little by little I have built trust with my audience and self-teach myself the ins and outs of social media.

I’m still learning every single day.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

Let’s start off by saying I have always loved sharing finds, tips, etc.

But with friends and family. Until, we bought our fixer-upper and I told my husband, Manny, that I was going to start to document the process. From then on, we have grown a little community of followers, especially from Miami who follow our home decor and lifestyle.

We are known for our home remodel but people also now call us Jen + Manny from “WeRemodelIt”. It’s fun when people come up to us in person and say they follow us on Instagram. Now our followers follow for home, lifestyle, and our 8 month-old Dom.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?

I can’t say we are strictly “home decor” anymore but I do see this industry skyrocketing. Instagram creators or influencers are here to stay in my opinion.

We have built little communities of people who trust us and we love to share info and tips.

But in 5-10 years our goal would be to expand in the real estate market either with home flips or airbnbs but also create a product that would benefit our audience. Let’s see where this venture takes us.
