Today we’d like to introduce you to Heidilynn Snyder.
Hi Heidilynn, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey has been a little unconventional, but I think that’s what has made it so meaningful. I’ve always been someone who loves people, creativity, and experiences, so my career has naturally evolved around those things.
I started in hospitality and spent about six years working in the restaurant industry. At the time, I didn’t necessarily see it as the beginning of my career, but looking back, it taught me some of the most valuable lessons I carry with me today. I learned how to connect with all kinds of people, stay calm under pressure, communicate effectively, and make someone’s experience feel special.
That eventually led me into event coordination, where I really found my passion for creating experiences. I began coordinating weddings, golf tournaments, and other large-scale events, and I loved seeing something go from an idea on paper to an experience that people actually got to enjoy. It taught me that the little details matter, but so does being able to adapt when things don’t go according to plan.
Over time, I started gravitating more toward marketing and content creation. I realized I could combine the creativity I loved with the organizational and people skills I had developed through events. Today, I work across event management and marketing, including touring with an immersive theatrical experience and managing social media and content for a wellness brand.
Outside of my traditional career, I’ve also started pursuing modeling and content creation, which has pushed me outside of my comfort zone in completely new ways. I’ve learned that sometimes you have to be willing to put yourself out there before you feel completely ready.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my journey so far, it’s that you don’t necessarily have to have your entire life figured out to move forward. Every experience, even the ones that seem unrelated at the time, can teach you something that eventually becomes part of your bigger story. I’ve followed opportunities that excited me, allowed myself to change direction, and continued learning along the way.
I’m still building what comes next, but I’m excited by that. My goal is to continue creating meaningful experiences, building things that connect with people, and pursuing work that allows me to be both creative and entrepreneurial. I think the most exciting part of any journey is knowing there’s still so much ahead of you.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Moving from Southern California to South Florida was a major life change for me. I had to build a new professional and personal life in a new place, which pushed me outside of my comfort zone and taught me to be more confident in creating opportunities for myself.
I’ve also stepped into roles where I had to learn as I went. Going from event coordination into marketing, social media, and content creation meant taking the skills I already had and figuring out how to apply them in completely different ways. There have been times when I questioned whether I was on the right path or what I wanted long-term. I’ve learned that sometimes an opportunity can teach you just as much by showing you what you don’t want as it can by showing you what you do want.
Another challenge has been putting myself out there creatively. Modeling, content creation, and building a personal brand all come with the possibility of rejection, and that can be intimidating. I’ve gone to open castings, walked runway shows, pursued brand opportunities, and put myself out there publicly. It has pushed me to become more comfortable with taking chances and hearing “no” without letting it define me.
I think the biggest lesson I’ve learned is that I don’t have to have everything figured out to move forward. I’ve learned to trust myself, stay open to new opportunities, and understand that every experience, even the difficult ones, can help shape where I’m going next. Looking back, some of the moments that felt like setbacks at the time have actually helped me become more adaptable, confident, and willing to take a chance on myself.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work has always centered around people, experiences, and bringing ideas to life. I’ve worked across hospitality, events, sales, marketing, and now touring entertainment, which has given me a really well-rounded perspective on what it takes to create an experience that people genuinely remember.
Currently, I work as a Tour Manager for an immersive touring theatre company, where I coordinate venues and logistics across different cities. A big part of my role is finding the right spaces, negotiating with venues, navigating permits and alcohol requirements, coordinating timelines, and making sure all of the moving pieces come together for a successful event. I love the behind-the-scenes side of events just as much as the final product because there’s something really rewarding about watching an idea go from a conversation or a contract into a real experience filled with people.
Before that, I spent years in hospitality and events, including coordinating weddings, golf tournaments, resident events, and other large-scale experiences. Those experiences taught me how to stay calm under pressure, communicate with all different types of people, and solve problems quickly when things don’t go exactly as planned.
