Check Out Hasan Ali’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hasan Ali.

Hasan Ali

Hi Hasan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I moved to Hollywood in 2017 along with creative and business partner Jeremy Baker.

As aspiring artists and filmmakers one of our goals as creative has always been to show our passionate interest in science fiction-based media. In late 2018, we started shooting for our photo series titled “Synthetic Souls”. In the last 4 years, we’ve worked on this project in Miami, LA, NYC, Berlin, and Paris.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Creating art is always risky. The greater the risk the greater the reward in my opinion. Especially when one is a specific and niche artist. It’s been a helluva creative journey and I have been blessed to have so many people support and appreciate the art I create. With Synthetic Souls, it’s been a major blessing with the positive feedback. Especially from women.

Synthetic Souls is a radical art concept that asks our models to be in the raw. I remember when Jeremy and I were first talking about doing this project we thought “Wow so who do you think will be up for being naked, glued up, and turned into Artificial Intelligence?” Lol… There will always be hurdles when creating your passions. In the art world, I have even seen the hurdles and bias just from us being black creatives. But passion is what has led us to victory and success with our art.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Filmmaking will always be my first love. Even within my photography, I love to shoot with cinematic nuance. Film and photography are my key mediums as an artist. Synthetic Souls is one of the projects I am most proud of because I’ve been blessed to watch it grow!

It’s been the reason I’ve now traveled to amazing places all over the world and created with so many beautiful and talented people. I think my down-to-earth vibe has been a key element in why models love working with me. I think creating should be a fun experience and by me being down to earth it makes people feel more comfortable to give their all and that ultimately helps me create better art.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the COVID-19 crisis?
What I learned most during the COVID crisis is I will never stop creating. I created the most art during COVID…lol… Creating during the beginning of COVID was what kept my spirit alive and healthy the most.
