Check Out Hannah Negrin’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Negrin.

Hi Hannah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started working in real estate on the development side at 17 years old. What turned into a weekend receptionist job with one of the top real estate developers in the nation, The Related Group, quickly turned into a long-standing career in real estate. After working for related for two years, I decided I needed to focus on school and took a brief hiatus from the industry and worked in hospitality which was my major in college at the time. Fast-forward a year and a half, my sister started working for a boutique development firm, Property Markets Group, and they had just launched their largest project at the time, Echo Aventura. With the pressure of opening a new residential building all while starting a new job, my sister asked me to help her with her workload on my days off for some extra cash and I happily obliged. Within an hour of being at the office on my first day, I was snatched from my sister and put to work with other employees who also needed help.

As fate would have it, two weeks later they offered me a full-time position even though I wasn’t looking for a job. I’d be stupid if I passed up the opportunity so I said yes which was one of the best decisions I could’ve ever made. I wore many hats during my time with PMG- I started off in client relations at Echo Aventura, sold upgrades for Echo Brickell and Muse, and was part of the closing team as a punch list coordinator for Echo Brickell, Muse, X Miami and Society Las Olas. I worked for PMG for just shy of five years before parting ways at 25… or so I thought. At the end of 2020, I decided to get my real estate license after so many years of being in the game and in 2021, I reached back out to PMG to hang my license with the residential sales team. From there on out, I was reunited with my PMG family. I currently work as an executive/personal assistant to a CEO of nationwide mortgage lending company and sell real estate on the side focusing on PMG‘s newest projects E11EVEN Hotel and Residences and E11EVEN Residences Miami Beyond.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road but it hasn’t been the rockiest either. Being so young and a female in a male-dominated industry has its challenges but I’m a glass half full kind of person and what one may say are weaknesses, I look at them as strengths. At first glance, one might think, “She’s so young, she must not have a lot of knowledge” but I think my credentials speak for themselves and I probably know more about construction than the average man does.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
This is a tricky question but I will say surround yourself with people who believe in you and things will fall into place. I’ve gained incredible mentors, wonderful friendships, and amazing work relationships all because someone took a chance on a 20 years old who had no clue what she wanted to do with her life. Make sure to create a strong foundation for your future and value and cherish those relationships because you never know where they will lead you.
