Today we’d like to introduce you to Elena Lee.
Hi Elena, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was born and raised between Barcelona and Ibiza, where my journey in dance and performance first began. After moving to Miami, I continued developing my career as a dancer before relocating to New York to focus more deeply on performance art, where I also discovered and began my burlesque career.
Eventually, I moved back to Miami, where I continued growing as a performer while also launching my own entertainment company Iconique by Lee. Today, I’m proud to create immersive entertainment experiences for hotels, venues, and special events, bringing artistry, performance, and elevated atmosphere to the city I love most.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Being a woman and Building a career in the arts and entertainment industry comes with constant challenges, and every stage of the journey has been a learning process. Moving countries, adapting to new cities, building connections, and creating opportunities for myself required a lot of resilience and persistence.
At the same time, those challenges helped shape me both personally and professionally. I’ve learned to adapt quickly, trust my creative vision, and continue growing through every experience. I believe every obstacle has pushed me closer to where I am today.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I work in the world of performance art, immersive entertainment, and creative direction. Through my company, Iconique by Lee, I create entertainment experiences for hotels, nightlife venues, private events, and luxury brands, combining dance, burlesque, fashion, and theatrical atmosphere into curated performances.
I specialize in creating visually impactful experiences that feel elevated, artistic, and immersive rather than traditional entertainment. My background as a performer has deeply influenced the way I direct and curate shows, allowing me to focus not only on choreography, but also on storytelling, styling, ambiance, and the overall guest experience.
I’m most proud of building a career and company around my artistic vision while continuing to perform myself. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in incredible cities like New York, Ibiza, LA, Las Vegas and Miami, collaborating with amazing venues, artists, and creatives along the way.
What sets me apart is the combination of performance artistry and creative production. I approach entertainment with a strong artistic and cinematic vision, always aiming to create moments that feel memorable, elegant, and emotionally engaging.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Along the way, I’ve been very fortunate to have the support of incredible people who believed in my vision and helped me grow both personally and professionally. From fellow artists and collaborators to clients and creative teams, every connection has played a role in shaping my journey.
A huge part of my success is also thanks to my team of dancers and performers. I’m incredibly proud of the talented women I work with and the way they continue to grow as artists and individuals. They inspire me constantly and have truly become my muses throughout the creative process. Building a team that shares the same passion, dedication, and artistic vision has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
I’m also grateful to the venues, producers, and clients who trusted my work and gave me opportunities to bring these concepts to life. Their support allowed me to continue expanding and evolving the company into what it is today.
