Hi Doug, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Our Story – Doug & Marcia Mithun, Founders of Mithun Impact
Mithun Impact was born out of faith — and the belief that every life is created for purpose.
For more than 30 years, I worked as a financial advisor, helping people prepare for the next chapter of their lives. What I began to see, over and over, was that people were financially ready for retirement — but not spiritually or emotionally ready for the change it brought. That realization planted the seed for Mithun Impact, a faith-based outreach dedicated to helping people rediscover meaning, live with purpose, and grow closer to God in every season of life.
Our journey hasn’t been without struggle. I spent years chasing success and eventually drifted from God. It was Marcia’s unwavering faith and God’s mercy that brought me back. Through that transformation, we both felt called to share a message of hope — that no matter how far you’ve wandered, God can redeem your story and use it for good.
Today, Marcia and I work together every day through Mithun Impact — writing, mentoring, and serving in our community. We’ve written books like Lost Faith, With Faith Anything Is Possible, and Made for Change, each inspired by our own walk with God and the lessons we’ve learned along the way.
Our mission is simple: to remind people that faith still changes lives. Whether through a short daily encouragement, a heartfelt article, or supporting local organizations that lift others up, we want everything we do to point back to the hope we’ve found in Christ.
Mithun Impact isn’t just a brand — it’s our calling. It’s about living out our faith, serving others, and helping people see that they too were made for more.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all — but it’s been worth every step.
There were seasons of doubt, closed doors, and moments when we wondered if we were really making a difference. Building a faith-based platform in a world that often looks the other way isn’t easy.
I also had to face my own struggles — learning to let go of control and trust God’s timing instead of my own. But those challenges became the foundation of our message. Through it all, we’ve seen how God uses every setback to strengthen our faith and every obstacle to deepen our purpose.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At its heart, Mithun Impact is a faith-based outreach focused on helping people rediscover purpose, strengthen their faith, and live with lasting impact. Through our writing, speaking, and community involvement, Marcia and I share messages that remind people that change doesn’t have to break you — it can build you.
We’re best known for creating content that’s both authentic and encouraging. Our latest book, Made for Change: Finding Strength in Shifting Times, speaks directly to those navigating life transitions — especially men and women facing new seasons after 60. It’s about finding faith and purpose when everything around you feels uncertain. The response has been humbling; so many readers have shared how it helped them see change not as loss, but as opportunity for renewal.
What sets us apart is that everything we do is rooted in faith and real-life experience. We don’t just write about hope — we’ve lived through the struggles that test it. Marcia and I work as a team, blending our personal stories with biblical truth and practical encouragement.
We’re most proud of seeing lives touched — whether through a book, a post, or a local initiative. That’s what Mithun Impact is all about: helping people grow closer to God, rediscover their purpose, and make a difference right where they are.
What’s next?
Following the release of Made for Change, we’re expanding our message through community partnerships, speaking engagements, and a new devotional series designed to help people live with strength, courage, and faith every day.
Marcia and I are also passionate about mentoring — especially the next generation of leaders and families here in South Florida. We believe real change happens when faith moves from words to action, and that’s where we feel called to focus our energy.
As for “big changes,” we’re trusting God for what’s next. Every step of this journey has been guided by faith, and our prayer is that Mithun Impact continues to inspire others to discover that they, too, were made for more.
