Social Media Influencer & Podcast Host Desiree Gato, better known as Desy Gato (@DesyGato on Instagram) is back at it again with another season of House of Desy Podcast. Three years and 1.1 Million followers later, she has a modeling empire, a full-blown real estate career and has now also started a podcast in the beginning of the Miami quarantine!

As of October 24, the podcast has not only charted for comedy in Mexico and Jamaica but also has 10,000+ downloads in only its first season! In recent interviews, Desy Gato gave us an in that she was making an upwards of $10,000 on foot fetish photos alone. She also states that this financial freedom has given her the opportunity to pursue things that make her happy. She’s been able to find a great balance between real estate and modeling, allowing her to eventually leave modeling and pursue other ventures once she’s older. Desy shares that she’s very happy and proud of what she’s been able to accomplish in 23 years of life, and she’s very excited for what is to come. You may have seen other Desy Gato features in Daily Star, Miami On The Rocks Podcast, El Mundo Tv, Unilad, Skyn Magazine, Epitome Magazine, Kaboom Magazine, The Vixen Mag and more.

Her most recent work is featured on her podcast, House of Desy, which includes her and her co-host sharing their opinions and being very open about their personal lives. She brings on other guests, including influencers, friends and other well-known artists such as Mary Bellavita, Vany Vicious, ThatBoostedChick and more. The podcast includes controversial topics that consist of relationships, sex, girl talk, education, and even other relatable conversations like dealing with ego and self-love. In recent podcast episodes, Desy Gato goes into depth about how she started her new Disney Blog and business. She now sells Disney-themed phone cases and blogs about every place she visits on any Disney property, raking in over 3,000,000 views on google alone. If you’re like us, wondering how she managed to juggle it all, her podcast really gives you some insight on just how busy an entrepreneur can really be.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Social media is never a smooth road. The biggest roadblocks include dealing with negativity, balancing multiple businesses and unfortunately, dealing with Instagram’s ever-changing algorithm. Most socialites won’t admit how much daily hate mail we actually deal with. Lots of trolls out there constantly trying to bring you down or smartasses trying to make you feel tiny or worthless. If you don’t have thick skin, it can really take a while for you to make sure those comments don’t get to you. Sometimes, us influencers have to stop reading them altogether for our own mental health. Another issue is Instagram’s algorithm. I feel as though every time I’ve got a good idea of what I need to do, Instagram changes and cracks down on ALL types of accounts, not just my own. I feel it was much easier to grow two years ago than it is now. Juggling social media along with other side hustles is so time-consuming when you are actively trying to grow. Between running promos, answering messages, reaching out to companies for sponsorships, finding other influencers and photographers to collaborate with, you easily find yourself looking at your phone screen for hours at a time.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am most known for modeling on Instagram. Throughout the years, I’ve meddled in a couple different things, such as real estate, podcasting, and retail businesses. My pride and joy right now is my podcast, House of Desy. That’s what I’m most proud of and looking to pursue for my future. I want a top-ranking podcast with authentic, top-notch content. (: There are two things that set me apart from others. The first thing is my kindness. I’m not boujee, I don’t look down on people because of my following and I don’t take advantage of my “clout” to get ahead. I am kind and I speak to everyone the same exact way. The other thing is that I’m not empty-headed. Most people assume all I do is model, but I am actually quite diverse. I work in three different industries and I own multiple businesses and properties.

How do you define success?
Finances, Freedom & happiness. If I am happy, if I can buy whatever I want and go wherever I want, I am successful.
