Check Out Claudia Storper’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudia Storper.

Hi Claudia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Claudia Storper. I’m originally from Mexico, and I came to the United States 26 years ago planning to stay for just one year. Life had other plans.

After arriving in Miami, I met my husband, Scott, on a blind date. We were married a year later, and 25 years later we are still building a life together. We have three boys. Our oldest is a 21 year old senior in college, and we have twin boys in 9th grade. Being a mother has deeply shaped the way I connect with families and tell their stories.

Photography found me in a very organic way. I began my career in school photography, learning the technical foundations of the craft and discovering how much I loved working with people. I later moved into real estate photography, which helped me develop my eye and confidence behind the camera.

In 2008, I volunteered to photograph events at a synagogue in South Miami where my children attended school. What began as a way to help soon turned into Bar and Bat Mitzvah photography, which became the heart of my business.

Today, I photograph Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, family sessions, portraits, graduations, and small celebrations. I am incredibly grateful to the Jewish community for their trust and support. Photography does not feel like a job to me. It is what I love to do, and I feel lucky every time I get to tell a family’s story through my lens.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been a really smooth ride through my career. It’s grown slowly over time, which has been nice, especially while balancing being a mom of three. My business is great for me because I can organize my day and schedule around what I need, which makes it so much easier to manage work and family. I really love what I do, and that makes everything feel easy and enjoyable.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in photographing Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, family sessions, portraits, and small private events. I am proud that I have built my business from the ground up and I have become known for my customer service and the way I connect with my clients. I especially love working with kids, engaging with them, making them feel relaxed, and turning the session into a fun experience where they can be themselves. Capturing those genuine moments is really what I love most about what I do.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was going to Acapulco, a beach in Mexico, with my family every year. I loved running along the sand with my brother, swimming in the waves, and watching the sunsets. Those trips were full of laughter, good food, and moments that made me really happy.
