Check Out Carmen Janet Sanchez’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carmen Janet Sanchez

Hi Carmen Janet, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?

My mom worked in a cosmetic factory so I developed my love for beauty early on. I started in the beauty industry at a young age. Makeup and Skincare were my focus. My first job was with Estee Lauder, which provided the best training in the industry. My next job was at Bergdorf Goodman selling the best skincare to individuals from all over the world. My sales skills won me prizes such as jewelry, electronics, and a 10-day all-expenses-paid trip to France.

The creative side of the business led me to start my bridal business named Simply Brides, Simply Brides provided mobile services for brides and wedding parties, including massages, hair, nails, and make-up. As an outside salesperson for Paul Mitchell, I strategically planned to bring the New York territory to 50% year over year in less than six months.

When I moved to Florida I took a class to be a Muti Media makeup artist at Cosmix Makeup School of Makeup Artistry. I then continued my education at Margate School of Beauty and became a licensed Esthetician.

My paths crossed with Jaroslav Vasicko who is the founder of Cureskin Natural Skin. Jari introduced me to the healing properties of Dead Sea mineral salt, essential oils, and mud therapy. These natural substances, sourced from the deepest parts of the earth, fascinated me with their potential to heal and rejuvenate skin on a deeper level compared to conventional cosmetics.

Having worked with prestigious companies like Estee Lauder and Paul Mitchell, where I honed my skills in makeup artistry, skincare, hair, and sales, I gained a deep appreciation for both the artistry and the science behind beauty products. However, my encounter with natural therapies marked a shift in my perspective. It made me realize the importance of prioritizing skin health and natural ingredients over quick-fix solutions that only provide temporary cosmetic benefits.

This newfound insight inspired me to delve deeper into natural skincare and treatments. It encouraged me to explore innovative ways to incorporate natural healing into my practices. It ultimately led me to integrate Dead Sea minerals and mud therapy into my skincare regimen and offerings.

The Calming Dead Sea Scrub is the most impressive of all. It is The One Scrub for Everyone. Our scrub is mixed with natural oils including lavender, chamomile, jojoba, sweet almond, and grapeseed to even skin tone and texture, leaving your skin healthy, soft, and radiant. The results on your skin are amazing and will help to alleviate symptoms things like psoriasis, and eczema. I encourage you to visit our website www.cureskin.care.

My journey through the beauty industry has been shaped by a passion for creativity, a dedication to skincare excellence, and a commitment to enhancing natural beauty.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There all challenges everywhere. There is always competition and the difference is to believe in your product and stay on top of trends. With Simply Brides, I faced the intense pressure and responsibility that comes with ensuring a bride feels confident and beautiful on her special day.

Managing these situations requires not only skill and expertise in hair and makeup but also emotional intelligence and the ability to handle stress. Dealing with family dynamics, in-laws, and unexpected crises like panic attacks demands a calm and composed approach. My experience is crucial in personal relationships and trust-building in this business—ensuring that clients feel supported and understood amidst the chaos of wedding preparations.

In competitive industries like beauty and bridal services, the connections you build indeed become your most valuable marketing asset. Word-of-mouth recommendations and positive client experiences can significantly influence your success.

These challenges shaped my approach to customer service and business strategy, emphasizing the importance of empathy, professionalism, and adaptability. My commitment to excellence and ability to handle diverse and challenging situations have been key in this demanding industry.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
During my professional career, I have managed, trained, and coached many along the way. Sharing my experiences with people looking for direction and guidance has been a pleasure. The reality is, that it is an open field with so many possible roads to follow.

I am a manager known for my kindness, fairness, and no bs mentality. We are all grownups and I expect the same respect amongst all of us.

Punctuality is a sin in this field. You can not leave a customer waiting for you to do their service.

My best advice as far as sales, never sell a product you do not believe in. Customers can tell you are not being sincere.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
My reputation as a professional. You have to do as you say and keep your word. The product has to be as fabulous as you sell it to be. Always be prepared to go the extra mile. Make sure your customer is completely satisfied with your work overall. This is how the referrals keep coming in.
